Bought it for my nephew as a gift. He’s really musical and has all the instruments possible. This was really different from the usual ones. He had a blast playing with it. There’s a lot of different ways to use it. That’s what keeps him playing with it for so long.

The I Play I Learn Toddler Percussion Station is a beautifully made toy. The sound is about what I would expect from a child’s toy priced this low. The xylophone has one note that is slightly off, but again, not surprising. The wooden pieces are smoothly finished, no rough spots, no dents. The photographic instructions have no text, but are well done. I almost missed one item though—the cymbal has a blue protective plastic film on each side that needs to be peeled off before assembly. My first impression was that the “blue paint job” was poorly done and ugly, then I realized that I needed to peel the plastic film off. There is a photo on the instructions, but I missed seeing it. The black-and-white trim surrounding the drum heads is kind of cheesy. It is basically a thick woven ribbon, and I imagine it will fray over time. That’s the only unimpressive part of the set. The knob on top of the cymbal screws securely on, but leaves exposed threads. There is a slight change that a small child's finger might be exposed to them. ( I slipped a short piece of tubing over the threads before attaching the knob.) There is a caution on the instructions that I don’t see anywhere else: "Do not put into the water as the water may soak into the wood and make the paint peel. Please wipe the toy with mild detergent and a damp cloth." The drum set should be assembled by an adult. Before assembly, there are numerous small pieces - screws, hex key, etc. This is a 4+ star toy, but because of its manufacture in CHINA, I am dropping the rating slightly.

My 2 yo daughter was pretending with a box that she was playing drums so I hopped on here to buy her a little drum set. This is perfect. It is easy to assemble, appears to be great quality and it has 2 sets of sticks which is great because she insists on me drumming along with her. I would definitely recommend this drum set for your littles.
