  • Very clear and helpful!
Intelligently written and easy to understand. I upgraded from a 6s+ with a home button to an X and this book was exactly what I needed.

  • I have an expensive new I-phone but I miss my less sophisticated I-phone
I liked finally learning what I'd spent $850 for.

  • Not a good learning guide.
I thought it covered a lot. It explained all the many phone features and capabilities. The problem is that the book often does not give enough detail on exactly how one uses these features.

  • Incompetent Author and/or illiberale editor.
I have read just the first six pages and am shocked at the stupidity of the Author! e.g. In describing the Buttons on the left and right Side of the phone he displays his ignorance by stating that the volume and mute Buttons which are on the left side of the phone - the author says they are on the RIGHT side - unless ,of course, you choose to use your phone looking at the back of the phone instead of at the screen. If the author is stupid why didn't his editor pick up on this error. Additionally, there are so many grammatical errors as to make reading this book painful. Or is the author's intent to drive Seniors batty by supplying them with erroneous information? Best advice, don't buy this book and stick to reference books like the iPhone for Dummies book!!! ... show more

  • Specific to seniors, why don’t more people address our special needs? Thank you!
I am 72 years young and just started using internet in 2018! This is very useful for me as I have no toddler for tutor!

  • Painful to read due to TOTAL lack of copy editing!
This book MAY live up to its cover blurb, but I’m not going to be able to get through it. The author's tone is routinely flippant, which might not be too annoying if he didn’t seem to be addressing a class of particularly dim middle-schoolers. His grasp of English grammar and punctuation leaves a LOT to be desired, and clearly he did not seek the services of a competent editor before (self)publishing. Errors are rife on the few pages I've read thus far: "iPhone" occurring at the end of a line is consistently written "iPh-one"; the possessive is missing its apostrophe, yet the plural is "iPhone's"; "then" meaning "than"; "There's" instead of "There are"; "an" meaning "and"; "adopt" for "adapt"; "you are" contracts to "your". And some clauses just don't make sense: while I can guess at the meaning of "the both of both worlds", and maybe even "a phone of security", I'm at a loss to decipher "The top portion of the phone has a lot for there then other phones." The foregoing is just a sampling, and I'm only on page 8! If this sort of composition doesn't bother you, the book probably contains a lot of useful information. I just can’t handle the pain, and I’m going to place my order for a genuine “Dummies” manual! ... show more
