i got this keyboard for school, i have an ipad air 4th gen. the lecture chair desks are very small so i need something reliable, compact, & preferably quiet. im returning this case in less than a week. i DONT recommend this case. i made a pros & cons list. CONS: - UNSTABLE: no underlying support for the keyboard & ipad together - keyboard magnetizes to the keyboard, but it all feels like it could fall apart at any moment. - POOR KEY SENSITIVITY: irregularly malfunctioned while taking notes during lectures. frustrating to realize all of the sudden realizing that nothing is spelled correctly because the buttons wouldn’t work properly. the loud button clicks were also an issue during a quiet lecture. and it didn’t matter how much pressure i applied. - HORRIBLE TRACK PAD: lousy sensitivity, functions when i DONT want it to, doesn’t function when i DO want it to. kept picking up my palm & thumb, even when i barely touched the trackpad while typing, & moving my cursor to a totally different area of my screen, messing up my notes & causing me to lose track during lecture. all this despite adjusting accessibility settings. - ADDITIONAL: no backlit keyboard (theres no other way to orient the ipad with the case, EXCEPT for the case completely extended or completely folded. case doesn’t allow you to tuck the keyboard behind the ipad, doesn’t allow you to position the ipad vertically unless you take off the entire case. PROS: - COLOR: i really like the color of the case. wish the case itself was better, because the color is really pretty. - KEYBOARD BUTTONS: the shape of the buttons are unique - SILICONE CASE: most other cases dont have silicone for the component that actually harnesses the ipad. i liked this because it made it easier to get it in & out of the case without worrying about cracking or breaking. ... show more
