I briefly used it after attaching it to a long handle and discovered that I needed to rake all the sticks and other debris before attacking the weeds. I was ending up with all this stuff before the rake could get to the weeds. Once the area was cleared, the rake did a super job digging into the ground a few inches and bringing up the weeds and roots. It also digs up the topsoil a few inches. It is not suggested to be used in a mulched bed unless you choose to use it by hand without a long handle. I did not make a small handle but screwed the rake to a long handle. This tool is a workhorse!! It really helped me clear away sections of the yard in record time. As with any tool I'm confident the longer I have it the more adept I will become with using it. Careful though, it's sharp!
