The directions were awful ( seems to be the norm with a lot of Amazon vendors). That being said, was fairly easy to put together and looks cute in it's space. Not very deep, wish I had paid attention to that measurement.

Great bookshelves. Elegant and highly functional. These are a bit smaller than they look because the laminated MDF is thinner than the old standard. And the laminates look great. It's hard to find the seams compared to laminates of the past. The instructions looked a bit dicey at first, but the shelves feature a smart design in that many of the parts assemble fine even if reversed. Plus the assembly's very intuitive. The parts are numbered, so even without instructions one could probably assemble one of these the right way. Of note: I've put together four of these so far. Had this for a good couple of months now and it’s still holding up. Build was easy and didn’t take forever. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Might get another one.
