It took me a really long time to find something attractive, simple but most importantly I needed the cubby area to be large enough for bigger toys. This fit it all! HOWEVER it is wobbly and does not sit flush on the floor. The 3 back cardboard pieces are just 2mm shy in being about to be nailed down so only the top parts are nailed down and if you hit against it they rattle. They do come with hooks so I'll def be having to attach them to the wall. Otherwise color is gorgeous and it'll get the job done for a kids room. ... show more

The offset shelves and Scandy look of this piece was perfect for our guest space. The only drawback is it’s somewhat narrow so while the TV sets on top fine, we felt better hanging it on the wall over the bookcase.

Did a lot of research for an affordable bookshelf for our daughter that wasn’t junk. We just assembled this in an hour. It was the perfect size for the space and gave us the extra shelf space we needed. The books shown were all on 2 three-cube shelves and a 5 shelf fabric book thing, and we have so much extra room! Beautiful bookshelf but not the most sturdy of furniture - it definately wobbles easily. I've never used wall anchors with kids but thankfully this came with one because it needs it. First one came very damaged and this one had minor damage to a shelf but wasn't worth sending back for a third try.

As far as self assembled furniture goes, this was surprisingly sturdy. Uses solid hex head flush screws, comes with an hex key and bit. The wood itself feels and sounds alot more solid than most others. We put it together while watching TV and still only took about ten minutes.

OK, so first impression out of the box I thought that the boards for the bookcase looked too thin. I was really scared that they weren’t going to be able to hold the weight of books that I own. I was debating on returning because I just didn’t trust it while I was holding the boards in my hands. I decided to give it a shot anyway because I was tired of my books just sitting in moving boxes and taking up space. I purchased two of these bookcases because my room has sloping walls so a regular bookcase wouldn’t have fit height wise. I was pleasantly surprised and was definitely proven wrong in this case. I like the fact that the bookcase came with screws to keep everything together instead of those tiny wood dowels. Usually when items come with the dowels I end up having to use wood glue in order to keep everything together so that it doesn’t just fall apart, plus it’s messy and takes awhile to dry. So this was a definite positive it makes it seem a lot sturdier and doesn’t look like it’ll fall apart easily. The only thing that I used the wood dowels for was for the bottom baseboard which came with 2 of them. It also had screws on the sides to keep the baseboard together. Instructions are easy to understand and all the pieces are clearly labeled so just make sure you are paying attention to that. It comes with a little Allen wrench but unless you want to be building this the ENTIRE day I’d suggest getting a drill. This can definitely be done by one person and a power tool. However, I would recommend two people do it since the boards might need to be held in place while you work on one side at a time. Seeing as I was by myself I just used the wall to stabilize it while I drilled away. I did not use the shelf board backing and left it open backed instead. Took off a star because it just felt too flimsy and pointless tbh and it looks nicer without. It took me a little over an hour to build the first one because I had to stop a few times to give my dog some scratches and petting otherwise he would be standing on the materials I was using🙄 he’s needy in case y’all didn’t realize and also kind of an a-hole when he doesn’t get attention (we think he was a cat in another life). 2nd one took me about 30min to build once I set him up with a treat puzzle toy and somewhere where he could see me lol.
