I am old and tried putting together myself. I just couldn;t get the screws in far enough with phillips screwdriver. My daughter in law came to help and I found it does not use phillips head but an alon key. Well she just put all the screws into the sockets in a jiffy. Ughh can't believe I did that. After my mistake, everything went together quickly, in about 15 minutes, and the shelves are pretty sturdy. They give you more than enough supplies to put together. All the screws aligned perfectly. Good looking, simple shelving unit, at a reasonable price. Fits beautifully in a small corner we wanted to use, as we renovate. All screws, parts, etc. included, needed for assembly. **Only one small glitch: directions are PHOTOCOPIED, & a packer omitted including a significant page, identifying WHICH specialty screw was supposed to go with WHICH wall board. Had to analyze all sent pages, figure out like assembling a maze…and ALMOST made it thru to the last step—but it the LAST step hit a snag, and realized that we’d done a previous step incorrectly (wrong parts put together) due to missing the that particular instruction page…had to disassemble, but finally figured out the entire puzzle. Whew! Other than THAT, very pleased with this unit, at this price point. AMAZON: Please inform your overseas manufactures about this quality-control problem with enclosed instructions! ... show more

Really solid, sturdy bookshelf. Easy to put together and comes with all the tools you need. Fits great into a narrow space. But, If you use the extra shelves, most books won’t fit upright. I had to stack books horizontally to fit on any shelf.

These bookshelves have some weight to them and they seem to be sturdy. We picked these to due to the width to fit into a designated area. The adjustable height is ok but these won't work with taller books unless you don't use the shelves. Assembly was easy however my gripe was that one shelf was missing. One of the side panels was scraped also (don't think from shipping as boxes were clean). White does show everything. I'd recommend but make sure you get you parts! ... show more

I was so shocked on the equipment that came in the shelf! I even got a drill piece so I don’t have to do it manually, gloves even came in and I love the self! Very nice and sturdy too doesn’t wobble either! Instructions were easy to follow as well!

This bookcase had the exact measurements I was searching for to fit my small space. I bought a total of 3 and they're quite sturdy and easy to build. They include additional tools and materials for you if you want to secure the bookcase to the wall. The backing isn't a flimsy cardboard, but an actual side of the bookcase, so my things were able to fit neatly instead of pushing back against the cardboard and ruin a good square space. The manual is very informative and informs you to be careful and evident in making sure you will be ok. The manual comes in a sturdy plastic zip bag, and includes good quality gloves (which helped my hands a lot), stickers for covering the screw holes once you finish building, and all the tools and materials you need to assemble this bookcase. The shelves are adjustable and fit in nicely once you tighten all the screws when you finish assembling. Customer service from the company is fast and helpful. They're very friendly and hope to solve your problem well. TIP: Don't fully tighten the screws on the right and left side of the bookcase until you finish fitting in the backing and shelves. Leave a few centimeters so there's room for you to fit those pieces in, and then tighten them so they fit snugly. Summary: - Easy to build. - Good measurements for small spaces. - Has tools and materials to secure to the wall if you need. - Backing is NOT cardboard, it's an actual sturdy side of the bookcase. - Manual is very informative and detailed, read it carefully. It includes gloves, stickers, and all the tools and materials you need. - Shelves are adjustable. - Customer service is excellent. !!!
