OK, so first impression out of the box I thought that the boards for the bookcase looked too thin. I was really scared that they weren’t going to be able to hold the weight of books that I own. I was debating on returning because I just didn’t trust it while I was holding the boards in my hands. I decided to give it a shot anyway because I was tired of my books just sitting in moving boxes and taking up space. I purchased two of these bookcases because my room has sloping walls so a regular bookcase wouldn’t have fit height wise. I was pleasantly surprised and was definitely proven wrong in this case. I like the fact that the bookcase came with screws to keep everything together instead of those tiny wood dowels. Usually when items come with the dowels I end up having to use wood glue in order to keep everything together so that it doesn’t just fall apart, plus it’s messy and takes awhile to dry. So this was a definite positive it makes it seem a lot sturdier and doesn’t look like it’ll fall apart easily. The only thing that I used the wood dowels for was for the bottom baseboard which came with 2 of them. It also had screws on the sides to keep the baseboard together. Instructions are easy to understand and all the pieces are clearly labeled so just make sure you are paying attention to that. It comes with a little Allen wrench but unless you want to be building this the ENTIRE day I’d suggest getting a drill. This can definitely be done by one person and a power tool. However, I would recommend two people do it since the boards might need to be held in place while you work on one side at a time. Seeing as I was by myself I just used the wall to stabilize it while I drilled away. I did not use the shelf board backing and left it open backed instead. Took off a star because it just felt too flimsy and pointless tbh and it looks nicer without. It took me a little over an hour to build the first one because I had to stop a few times to give my dog some scratches and petting otherwise he would be standing on the materials I was using🙄 he’s needy in case y’all didn’t realize and also kind of an a-hole when he doesn’t get attention (we think he was a cat in another life). 2nd one took me about 30min to build once I set him up with a treat puzzle toy and somewhere where he could see me lol. All in all really great bookcase. It shouldn’t take too long to build as long as you don’t have distractions etc. ... show more

Since the box arrived quite banged up with corner and other damages I wished I had not bothered. Then I gave it a chance. There was some damage to the back facing which I was able to hide. The shelf came together nicely and seems sturdy enough to hold my collection of craft books. Instructions and hardware were carefully wrapped. 5 stars for the intricate and excellent instructions, probably the best I have ever seen. ❤️ The shelf looks just as advertised. The only missing star is that I looked forward to a warm yellow. Instead I received a blond wood lookalike. If I had known this I would have ordered the blue color. Overall I am pleased. I placed felt stickies to the bottom to prevent scratches on my floor. Also have felt stickies on the back panels for added wall protection. I do suggest though that the seller label the packaging as "fragile" so that it will be handled better by FEDDEX or UPS. ... show more

It’s fairly nice and works for what we needed. I was a little nervous it would not hold much weight but it’s been almost a month and seems to be holding fine. The color was nice- more of a dark mint but it’s a nice pop of color in my daughter’s room. Works for the reading nook at the end of her bed.

With taxes it was 180$. I guess it's ok quality for the price like that. I was expecting the color to be more green. You can put a lot of stuff and big baskets fit as well.

We got this book shelf for our sons nursery and it matches our other furniture really well. So glad it came with anchors to attach it to the wall to prevent it from falling on him as he starts walking. It was simple to put together as well. I didn’t like the stickers that came to cover the screws and we also had a hard time getting the backing on and it cracked in a few places so we just left it off to show a pop of color from the wall.
