Heads up that the colors on this playmat are a bit more muted/closer to pastel than the pictures show but that's exactly what I was looking for since I prefer muted colors. I use this for a different kind of toddler, the type that can fly (a parrot) to cover the area beneath his cage since I have carpet. It's made cleaning so much easier and it also just looks really cute. It stays together surprisingly well on carpet. If you intend to use this for a kid that's gonna run all over it though you should probably expect a bit of separation, but walking on it in my experience has been perfectly fine. It didn't smell that much, but I would air it out for good measure anyways.

The media could not be loaded. I researched a lot of different padding to put in my son’s playroom and this was such a great find. It’s easy to put together, it’s pretty thick so he is comfortable crawling and playing on it and it’s great quality. You can put the colors together anyway you like. We live on the second floor so I think it helps with noise reduction for my first floor neighbor. It has a little grip on it, so my baby can crawl and run and not slip. This video is two of them put together.

I originally ordered this for my 1 year old son, so that he could play in his room and learn how to walk safely. The foam pieces fit together snugly and come with plenty of border pieces (although the end pieces don't always fit together perfectly). Almost a half-inch thickness, which is not terribly cushy, but comparable to other brands. Another unforeseen benefit is that they offer a temperature cushion on cold hardwood floors. All in all, they work for their purpose. The only issue I had was that each set, while interchangeable, are produced with different tactile roughness (the imprint on the tops).

We love this play mat! Its easy to assemble and is very clean and sturdy. There are so many things we love about it. For one, it comes with end borders so it looks very clean and neat. A mat we had prior to this didn't come with end borders so it just looked messy. This mat almost looks like one solid piece because of those end borders. We also love that the the square pieces are solid. The mats that have letters and numbers are difficult to deal with. They start coming out and its difficult to clean because the pieces come undone. These solid pieces are easy to clean and move around. The pieces interlock very seamlessly and there are no gaps in between. They come with several colors of each so you can create a variety of colored patterns when setting it up. The mat is just perfect for homes with hardwood floors and children. Not only is the mat cushy on the knees, its actually comfortable to lie down on. It definitely beats lying down on the floor. When you have a baby who is about to crawl, you spend a lot of time on the floor and a mat like this helps. On a side note, they come in a very huge box (in case you need to know that for delivery purpose). Oh and there is a slight powdery or coated feeling when you first get it, but we just used wipes to wipe down the whole thing after we laid them all down. I highly recommend this!

I got these to line my baby's play pen for extra padding and they're doing their job. I didn't notice a smell, they are nice and thick. Couldn't really ask for more. I noticed some people complaining that their kids could pull up the edges and take the squares apart. While that is true (took my 10-month-old a day or 2 to discover this fun trick), they are designed to be interchangeable and movable and all that so, yeah, of course your child will be able to take them apart. If that doesn't work for your needs then this is not the product for you, but it's certainly not a fault of the product. It's pretty manageable, in my opinion, and the pros outweigh that con. I like that this will grow with my kids and that we can have fun making new patterns and arrangements to fit different spaces and needs versus a play mat. Plus, I didn't like the designs on moat of the solid playmats I saw available - not my style and/or really buaynand distracting. For me, this is a good fit.

I always read the reviews before buying any product, specially when I buy stuff for my baby. I read many reviews about play mats and decided to order this one because it was one of the few that clearly specified that are free of harmful chemicals. The notes says that the product was supposed to arrived in three weeks but I was willing to wait. Since I have a prime account, for my surprise, the product arrived in just three days. I cannot be happier! The mat is big enough for me to use the mat as I want. I actually decided to divide it in two sections covering an area in our living room and our office so our baby can be playing while we do our daily duties. The mat has not odor at all and offers a great cushioning. My baby can roll over and play without any risk of hitting her head on a hard surface or so. I also like the fact that the mat comes with borders so it can be put together as wanted and still it look good. On thing that really surprised me a lot was that, accidentally I rolled my office chair on top of it and made a mark on the mat.. the mat came back to its original shape in few hours and the mark is almost unnoticeable. I am very please with my purchase, great quality, great price and fast delivery...I really recommend it.
