Features

  • AUTO SENSE: Motion sensing technology automatically opens and closes the cradle arms on the mount for a convenient and secure hold.
  • Qi CERTIFIED: Wirelessly charge your iPhone (7.5W) or Android (10W) without connecting your phone to a power cable thanks to Qi-certified technology.
  • ADJUSTABLE BOTTOM FOOT: The foot of the mount can be raised and lowered to accommodate phones of various sizes. This helps to align the Qi coils for an efficient charging experience.
  • BACKUP POWER: Press either of the buttons on the side of the cradle to open the clamping arms and retrieve your smartphone. The Auto Sense has an internal battery that allows the arms to open for up to an hour after your vehicle is shut off.
  • TELESCOPIC ARM: The newly designed telescopic arm pivots on a 225 arc and can be extended from 6.75 to 11, allowing you to find the optimal viewing position.
  • STRONG SUCTION: The mounting base attaches to your vehicle via a super strong sticky gel suction cup. The Auto Sense also includes a Dash Pad to provide the suction cup with a secure connection on textured dashboards.
  • Case Compatibility: The wireless charging feature works with Qi compatible devices and cases up to 6mm thick. For the most efficient wireless charging experience, we recommend connecting your phone without a case.

  • Overall satisfied
Style: Auto Sense Dash Pattern Name: Mount
They really try to convince you to stick it to your glass windshield. I didn't want to do that. My car's dash is very curved, but despite that, I still get a perfect stick except in the summer when the sun warms the car super hot when the windows are closed; it melts the adhesive. If you crack your windows, it is fine. Also, the phone angle tends to droop down and my phone has fallen out a few times trying to put it in the holder. If I had known about iPhone magnet holders, I would have gone with one of those. (But you do need a special case for those.) This charges iPhones at half the rate compared to an iPhone magnet charger, too. ... show more

  • 3rd UPDATE! 1 1/2 years in still works!
Style: Auto Sense Dash Pattern Name: Mount
1st UPDATE! I have just discovered (5 months after buying this mount) that the ring that tightens against the knob that holds the angle of the phone mount has cracked, and have submitted a request for a replacement part. I will update my review to describe the warranty experience. Other than this problem the mount has been EXCELLENT! 2nd Update! (5/2/2020) Today I received a replacement ring for my car mount phone holder. When I emailed customer support at iOttie I got a confirmation email in a few hours, and by the end of the day they emailed again to say they would be shipping a replacement. It took less that a week to get my new locking ring, which I have just installed. Looking at the replacement ring, it appears bigger,(first picture) but when you flip the rings over, it appears that the while the original ring was a single, thicker piece, the new ring is a thinner inner ring, surrounded by a second thin outer ring. I will have to see if this hold up under the stress of having to hold my heavy S7 edge and its heavy Otter Box. It took pictures to show the difference, but I don't see a way to submit photos to this edit of the review. I've gone through at least 3 cheap car mounts from 5 Below or other stores, and they break, or they barely hold my phone, or they peel off the dash. This mount is the best I've seen yet, but the price reflects that. First off, the packaging and the verb-age are great. This product is made in Korea, but the English language instructions are EXCELLENT compared to most overseas products. Nothing gives me the willies when I open up a new box and the broken English instructions and descriptions are way off. Iottie spent the money on getting the packaging details right, and that gives me confidence that the actual product is well done too. The 2 year warranty is something I have not seen on any similar products. This mount has motorized arms that open to accept your phone, and also squeeze to hold it in place. A sensor in the mount can "see" your phone being brought toward it, and the arms spread open to receive the phone, and then squeeze closed, centering your phone to the left and right so that the wireless charging coil can charge the phone. The lower phone support has to be set manually for your phone, but once it is correctly set you don't have to worry about it again unless you switch phones, or change your phone case. You push either of a pair of release buttons to open the jaws when taking your phone. This can be done for a while after the power to the unit is turned off, due to a battery built into the unit, but you can't PLACE the phone in the mount unless power to the 12 v plug is being supplied by the vehicle. I make an effort to remove the phone before turning off the vehicle, but I do forget sometimes. The phone sensor port is supposed to work well with shiny surfaces, and clear glossy stickers are supplied to put on the back of your case if your phone case texture is too matte for the sensor to detect. My Otterbox Defender case is rather matte and bumpy, but I have not seen the mount fail to detect the phone yet. The wireless charging supplies 10 watts for Android phones and 7.5 watts for IPhones. WIth most wireless chargers, if a phone case is too thick, the phone may not charge, or may default to normal speed rather that high speed. My Otterbox case is pretty much as thick as they come, and I get high speed charging every time I place the phone. The grip is strong enough to hold the phone in place, and I've not had the phone jiggle loose since getting the mount. The suction cup mount is the sticky variety, and will cling to the windshield, but for dash mounting there is a disc with an adhesive sticker on the bottom and a smooth top for the suction cup to grab. Once area in which I would advise caution; the micro USB connection from the 12v plug to the head of the mount is not held in by anything but friction, and may pull loose. I had to make sure early on that it was really plugged all the way in, because it felt like the unit was not getting power. Since then I have not had a problem. The telescoping arm extends out a few inches, and the pivot allows the arm to swing over the unit so that it can hang from the windshield. The ball joint seems adequate, and does hold the phone securely at least for now, but if there's ONE piece of the mount that seems like it might loosen up, it would be the ball joint. Overall I love this mount and recommend it. 3rd UPDATE! This unit is still working. I STILL have issues with the ball mount allowing the phone to tilt forward from the jolts of everyday driving. Other than that, this car mount is fantastic. ... show more

  • Expensive, but worth it
Style: Auto Sense Air Vent/CD Pattern Name: Mount
I recently purchased the iOttie Auto Sense Qi Wireless Car Charger and I am very impressed with this product. It fits my large Samsung Note 20 phone perfectly and the auto clamping feature is a really neat addition that makes me feel like I am living in the future. The car phone holder feels luxurious and the fact that it comes with two separate methods for mounting to your car is very convenient. I personally use the air vent mount, but I found that the weight and extension of the holder's arm caused my air vent to slope down. However, this was easily fixed by placing something thin underneath the adjustable air vent to prevent it from rotating down. Overall, I think this is a great phone holder that I will use for a long time. I doubt that I will ever need to purchase another phone holder again. If you're looking for a reliable and high-quality car phone holder, I highly recommend the iOttie Auto Sense Qi Wireless Car Charger. ... show more

  • Great cell phone holder, not great at charging
Style: Auto Sense Dash Pattern Name: Mount
I like this product because the design and the hold is superior to anything I have seen. I can’t charge my iphone unless I remove the case. I replace the case with a mag-safe for my iphone and it still didn’t work.

  • Great design, worth the money.
Style: Auto Sense Dash Pattern Name: Mount
Love that it stays put. This is my second purchase for another vehicle. Wireless charger is great for my husbands phone. My case that has a magnetic ring on the back doesn't seem to work with the wireless feature but since it has an extra usb plug I just plug mine in. Not a big issue for me. Overall, feel its worth the extra money to not have a holder that doesn't keep falling off and charges nicely. ... show more
