We originally started with just a Ring doorbell many years ago but over the past 2.5 years, after moving into our forever home, we have added three of these cameras. Two are solar powered and one is directly wired to the house. All are attached to our Ring app and Alexa for easy and secure monitoring. They work wonderfully. The video and live feeds are extremely clear no matter if it’s day or night. The sound quality is also great. We haven’t needed the sirens but I have tested them and they are plenty loud. The cameras and solar panels were all very easy to install and setup on the app was a breeze. There are a lot of useful features and it’s very user friendly. Some of my favorite features are that we can set the sensitivity and areas to be monitored so we aren’t constantly getting alerts about the neighbors or cars and people coming by the front of the house. I think my only real complaint is that all the cameras need a battery even if they’re wired in. The cameras that are hooked to the solar panels need two batteries to hold a decent charge but I will say the solar panels do a great job of recharging them so I don’t have to climb my ladder to pull out batteries for recharging constantly.

Great sensitivity. Not 4K but catches enough detail. Picks up every motion on the side / driveway side of my house.After about 2 years I did replace the batteries but it wasn’t the device. Batteries just wear out.

The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus has been an excellent addition to my home security setup. I actually own multiple Ring cameras now, and they’ve all been reliable, easy to use, and simple to manage through the app. The Spotlight Cam Plus stands out because of the bright built-in lights, clear video quality, and dependable motion detection. One of my favorite parts of the setup is using the cameras with the Ring solar adapters. The solar panels keep the batteries topped off extremely well, which means far less maintenance and almost no need to remove the batteries for charging. Once installed, the system is basically set-and-forget, which is perfect for cameras mounted in harder-to-reach areas. The app notifications are quick, live view loads fast, and two-way audio works great when needed. Night vision performance is also impressive, and the spotlight adds an extra layer of visibility and deterrence around the property. Installation was straightforward, and the overall ecosystem works really well when you have multiple Ring devices connected together. If you want a reliable wireless security camera with excellent convenience—especially when paired with the solar adapter—this is a fantastic option.

Great to have a security camera and a flood light. Does not work well in negative temperatures and the batteries die in one day in those cold temps. This is different than the ring doorbell that does not seem to have the same battery issue in negative temperatures. Easy to install and has an alarm function if you want to set a sound alarm off.
