We originally started with just a Ring doorbell many years ago but over the past 2.5 years, after moving into our forever home, we have added three of these cameras. Two are solar powered and one is directly wired to the house. All are attached to our Ring app and Alexa for easy and secure monitoring. They work wonderfully. The video and live feeds are extremely clear no matter if it’s day or night. The sound quality is also great. We haven’t needed the sirens but I have tested them and they are plenty loud. The cameras and solar panels were all very easy to install and setup on the app was a breeze. There are a lot of useful features and it’s very user friendly. Some of my favorite features are that we can set the sensitivity and areas to be monitored so we aren’t constantly getting alerts about the neighbors or cars and people coming by the front of the house. I think my only real complaint is that all the cameras need a battery even if they’re wired in. The cameras that are hooked to the solar panels need two batteries to hold a decent charge but I will say the solar panels do a great job of recharging them so I don’t have to climb my ladder to pull out batteries for recharging constantly.

I have two of these. One of the always stays connected, and the other randomly disconnects every few months. I have to plug in it into an outlet, even though the battery is at 95% or higher. I'd give one of them a 5, and the other a 4. There is some lag with detecting motion at times, however the quality is good. I can see things in the yard even at night, and the solar panels are great. Even if the sky is cloudy for a few days the batteries stay charged. Overall, I'd recommend this camera to anyone that needs one. It's a solid purchase.

We had an intruder try to open our son’s window on the far end of our house, terrifying. My “approach with a bat” worked in the moment, but I knew we needed a long-term deterrent. We installed the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus (solar version), and I love it! The motion-activated spotlight lights up the area instantly, the camera quality is sharp, and the two-way talk means next time, mamma bear can speak directly to whoever’s out there or at least record crystal-clear video for law enforcement. The solar panel keeps it powered, so no charging worries. Worth every penny for the security and peace of mind.
