I originally bought this giant floating mat for the lake, thinking it would be great for lounging and soaking up the sun—and it definitely delivered! But the surprise bonus? The kids are obsessed with it in the pool too! It’s huge, sturdy, and holds several people at once without feeling like it's going to flip or sink. At the lake, it’s perfect for just relaxing with a cold drink. In the pool, it’s become a floating playground—climbing, jumping, flopping around. It’s handled all the chaos like a champ. Inflating and deflating is easy with an electric pump, and the material feels durable (which is saying something, considering the kid-level abuse it’s taken). We’ve used it multiple times already and it’s holding up great. If you're looking for something versatile, fun, and big enough for the whole family to enjoy, this mat is a summer must-have. For under$40 I have to admit I was willing to pay for this but skeptical that this would Really hold more than one person and not fold up like a taco. But, alas, once we got it inflated, we carried it down steps into the shallows of the Chesapeake Bay! Tied it out to our buoy and we lay there floating In the cool breeze for a few hours! Inflating definitely takes the proper equipment, not only an air Compressor but the right nozzle or air gun attachment. It took 2 of us about 15-20 mins to set up the gear and get it to be fully inflated. The flotation itself is not “stiff” but supple enough to roundly fold it to carry about—texture of material is not velvety or sueded but not really cheap plastic either—thinking of child arm floats! It’s much more sturdy that I thought and not “slippery” at all once in the water. There are four 8-10” ropes that attach to each corner but really since they interlock, you need to just tie two of the corners and use the connectors and end ropes to fasten To your OTHER source be it anchor, boat, another flotation. Two of us, not inordinately heavy people admittedly, lay on this quite comfortably, moved around, sat up, turn over, etc without any balance issues at all. Three adults would be comfortable, four may be cozy. We didn’t try to sit cross-legged and play cards or anything!! But for hanging out, it was great. Yes, I agree with another reviewer, they need to make pillows, like big wedges to lean against! Awesome and fun. Seems durable but frankly if it lasts only three summer months, for $40 investment, I’m Sold! ... show more

Large float, really fun size. Hard to beat for less than $40. Of note, you don't stay entirely dry on this-your body does submerge a couple inches (I tanned on it and was a little wet but just barely). If you're laying flat depending on number of people on it you can be more or less submerged in the water. Each corner has a spot for a tie up. Pros: Float has two chambers to inflate, so if worst case scenario one half popped, you could cut it and still have another half. When you blow both up appears as one float. Blows up quickly with any little electronic pump. Wouldn't recommend without an electronic pump-it's huge. Durable, doesn't seem like it will pop easily. Cons: I used this for a week in Maine up north. Gets cold overnight, left it tied on the dock and it seemed to deflate noticeably and I think that may be why but unsure. ... show more

first day on the lake, opened the box on the boat and filled it up - wouldn’t hold air at all on the left side, right side deflated soon after. Leaks on both sides, so badly that it sunk and we had to jump in to grab it.
