This is a really nice boat. We ordered it specifically for floating down the river. We have only taken it out a couple times, so I can't truly speak for it's lasting durability yet, but it really feels like quality material that won't be tearing any time soon. Now, this boat is listed as a 4 person boat. As some have previously mentioned, this boat is much more comfortable for only two people, especially for two big men with a cooler. But with us being two average sized females, we were extremely comfortable sitting in this boat for hours, and could have easily fit one or even two more average sized people in it fairly comfortably. My favorite part about this boat is the seats. They are very comfortable, and the fact that they can either be attached to the boat itself, or removed all together is a huge plus. The little pouch it comes with is also awesome, although it would have been cool if it was a dry bag. We haven't had a problem with any water getting into the pouch yet, though. Us being two average sized females, we had no problem loading the boat up with all of our stuff, and carrying it a quarter mile down to the water. iT is slightly heavy, but once inflated we found it very easy to transport. Once in the water it was pretty easy to steer. The paddle holders are very convenient. Rowing takes a bit of practice but we got it down pretty quickly. The air pump that it comes with is nice for emergencies, but would take quite a while to fill up the whole boat. We have one of those air pumps that you hook up to your car battery and inflated this boat in under 5 minutes. The air-only-in valves make it very easy to inflate. We also love the travel case it comes with. It's surprising that this huge boat can pack down into it, and it's absolutely wonderful for storage. Overall you really get what you pay for with this boat. It's not just some cheap inflatable, but instead a really nice river raft that is very high quality in my opinion. ... show more

This thing is DURABLE. I've only had it for a little over a year, but it spent about 8 months outside in the elements, was walked on and generally just not cared for: pumped it up for the 4th of July weekend 2 weeks ago and it worked fine. No leaks, just had to hose it off and take it out. Very big boat, which means it's very heavy. Best to have 2 people to carry it from truck to water, but 1 somewhat-fit person could throw it over their shoulder and carry it a good ways if they had to (deflated of course). Pros: durable, lots of space in boat, cushions are actually pretty comfortable. Good for floating / rowing short distances. Would put a small motor on the back if you were looking to use this is a fishing boat or you were looking to actually travel any decent distance efficiently. Good price Cons: It's a wide, inflatable boat, which means it sits on top of the water. Which means it doesn't track well. Expect to have a tough time keeping this thing straight and accelerating / maintaining speed, especially if 1 person is rowing. Again, it's best as a vehicle that gets you out on a lake or bayou to fish or just drink and hangout. Don't expect to easily travel any distance on this thing without a motor. ... show more

    • Works great but needs a wood floor

I got this to use on our lake during a drought period when boat ramp was out of water. I only got to use it a couple of times before the ramp was back in water. I was amazed at how fast this raft would go with the Minn Kota Endura C2 30 I put on it. Also amazed at how little water you need to get it floating. I would say it floats in a couple inches of water but I did make a wood floor for the raft. Finding the motor mound was my biggest problem. Everyone was out of stock so had to pay full retail to get the last one this one company had. On the floor, I highly recommend you build a floor so you have stability. What I did was make a two piece template out of cardboard with a cut seam in the middle of the raft. I transferred my template to 1/4" exterior plywood and cut the floor shape. I then gave the floor 3 coats of resin on both sides and end edges. Round off the end edges so no sharp edges. Finally, I sprayed all the edges with Quick Dip plastic spray (more like rubberized). I also sprayed some spots in the center part of the two pieces on both sides so plywood wouldn't move around and walking surface was safer. Having the plywood floor in two pieces makes it easy to carry in my Tahoe and simple to put into raft. On filling the raft, I got the Intex Quick-Fill DC Electric Air Pump which fills the raft in very little time. Always underfill the raft if you know the air temperature will get warmer. The raft is very stable even being under filled provided you have that wood floor. I loaded my grandson and all our gear and had no problems with the raft itself. I used a large Coleman Ice Cube ice chest to sit on while controlling the motor and need to secure that to the floor before using it again. Wave action and quick starts can throw you off balance because I was sitting so high. Haven't hit any rocks or other objects so can't say how it will hold up.
