  • YOU BETTER HAVE ROOM FOR THIS ONE! HUGE!
At 6 foot wide and 10 feet long and nearly almost 2 feet tall (depending on how much air you pumped in - see note to follow) - you better have room in your yard for this huge above ground pool; make sure you are in compliance with your local and or State/Providence laws; some have laws pertaining how big an above ground pool can be before one has to have a Safety Fence up! (KEEP THIS IN MIND!) This size is the maximum my area permits without a fence but requires a tarp when not in use (I have also obtained the Intex Matching Pool cover to cover this). Since colors do vary; I have shopped for them in stores - they can range from Seafoam green to Aquamarine - the one I got was Sky Blue in Color - was perfect; it made my garden POP out even more. NEVER LEAVE LITTLE CHILDREN UNATTENDED; IT IS CLEARLY MARKED ON THE POOL AND ALSO THE POOL COVER AS WELL - CHILDREN CAN DROWN! As far as the fun goes, it's a learning experience for the little ones to learn how to swim - at this point it is only half full at the moment, not even at the maximum line stage yet, but plenty of water to go around. Now if you use an electric pump to fill this up, do not over fill; WHY? Because over-filling it with air and the weight of water inside will actually damage the pool itself. If you have really little children, I would recommend that you fill this pool half the depth of water to start off with so they can learn and grow into it as you gradually add more water and teaching them lessons on learning to swim as well as floating; pool sudden also becomes "Educational" as well as a life saver. With plenty of room for the family to be in makes it all the more fun! PLUS IT'S NOT JUST FOR FAMILIES ONLY, SINGLES TO ADULTS CAN HAVE THIS POOL FOR THEMSELVES AS WELL; after a long hard week, it is big enough to put in a raft or floating lodge where you can rest and relax under the sun but ..... BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL ASLEEP AND BECOME A FRIED LOBSTER! I also recommend the small 1 inch tablet chlorine floaters plus the 1 inch tablet floaters to keep your pool clean plus the PH test strips. Those tablets can go a long long ways! With the floaters, you would want one with a dial type in or twist type end on bottom as how much chlorine you need to be released. If you have soft water, you probably would not need to have the setting on so high, follow the test strip guide first until you have it all set up - on my end my water is semi-hard so one tablet can last up to 3 to 4 weeks before a change is needed. Whenever the pool is not in use, always use the pool cover / tarp and cover your pool. I do not recommend leaving this pool out where there is a chance of snow to ice but in Tropical Zones; you are okay. Yes, you can purchase a small filter machine for this pool if you want to but it is not necessary or required to; it would be far easier in my humble opinion to just let some air out as much as possible without getting water into the middle (there are three areas of this pool where air is to be inflated) as I use Intex Air Pump; then the top layer of pool letting as much air as you can without letting any water getting into the valve area; put some pressure into it and the water just runs all out, far faster than using the drain hole until you have no more water, then you can begin to release air in lower bottom valve as much as possible and normally by this time you can release quite a bit of air, and then flip the pool up side down to drain it out for a little bit. The next step would be moving it to a dry spot and re-inflate the pool, what is helpful here is some chairs to prop the pool up to dry completely - whether you are now going to put it away for storage or going to refill it with fresh water again; typically - as long as the PH test strips are showing fine, once a week or two, depending how much use it has if used all summer long - one would only have to find themselves having to only drain it once and refill it once even if the children swam in it almost every day. * To preserve the pool, please try to avoid usage of any types of oils - such as tanning oils; those that are cream rub in sunscreen are the best but your best option is to schedule a time limit of "pool time" usage with the children as gradually this erases off the "boredom" of summer! You can always add "Fun balls" or Fun Ballz" to volleyball to Pool side Basket ball to rafts to Dive Torpedoes (to name a few and giving you ideas) - all available here on Amazon - so there's never a dull moment. You just might find yourself stuck with them wanting to play pool volleyball all the time or basketball with 2,000 Fun Ballz - even the order of 500 Fun Ballz I have in that pool makes it look like I have only 25 Fun Ballz - this thing could handle 10,000 Fun Ballz (That would drive anyone nuts here, I would not recommend this!) ++ Pool tools are really simple unlike the regular sized above or under ground pools - all you need is a telescopic pool scooper / leaf catcher - comes in handy and making pool clean up easy! I DO RECOMMEND THAT ONE TO INSTALL A POOL MAT - DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SIZE, BUT THIS IS TO KEEP GRASS TO LEAVES TO DIRT OUT OF THE POOL... A 5 gallon bucket is handy here - putting it on the side of pool makes it easier for people to come in and out without having all this grass to dirt inside of pool - NOTE: All are available on Amazon. You can put the pool on top of it in part, or slide it near it and with pool time is over, you can hose it off and let it dry. ^^^ SPECIAL NOTICE I FEEL IS IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VERY YOUNG: If you are a parent with a young child or children who are very young, they will have some problems trying to get in and out from the top inflatable area; my recommendation is, do not over or under inflate the top liner as this does keeps water inside the pool. Work with this but keeping the bottom and middle inflated but not over inflated; even though it may not be "full" but deep enough for them to play in and sufficient enough water for you to sit in and letting them run around and play, as they get used to this, you can add more water and let them learn how to used to the arm floats and learn to swim - there is so much fun. Educational: YES Fun: NEVER ENDING OF THIS! Size: BIG - Rectangular - 6 feet wide by 10 feet long Color: I personally have a feeling colors may vary here just like the ones I had seen in Brick and Mortar Pool Stores - mine is in Sky Blue the Image shown here is close to what is called Sea-Foam Green - ALL THE COLORS ARE IN THAT RANGE OF BLUES OF THE OCEAN HUES - ALL HAVE WHITE TOPS TO KEEP THE POOL TOP FROM BEING "HOT" Landscaping: Really makes your landscape POP OUT! REST & RELAXATION: Absolutely - for an adult who has no access or time to drive to a pool, lake, beach, river, anywhere; even having your friends over to soak up would be a blast! Great to have your friends over on a hot summer dog days and schools out and no more hearing "There's nothing to do!" STRONGLY RECOMMENDED - HAVE BEEN PURCHASING INTEX POOLS FOR YEARS AND YOU CAN START WITH BEGINNERS UNTIL THEY GROW INTO IT! KEEP IN MIND - MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH YOU LOCAL LAWS OR STATE LAWS ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN; IF YOUR LAWS REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE FENCING AND A LOCKED GATE, THEN DO ADHERE - A CHILD'S LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN A POOL! ... show more

  • DIY Ball Pit and Sensory Pool
Color: Orange Size: 90" x 60" x 19"
Why use a pool as Ball Pit? In short: Ball Pits are a great therapy tool! The visual, auditory and tactile sensory stimuli and the proprioceptive feedback builds confidence and strengthens motor skills during occupational therapy. Using balls of multiple colors can help with visual sensory stimulus and they can be used to build early speech skills like color identification, counting and more. If properly padded and filled with crush-resistant balls, they can be great for deep pressure and vestibular activities (kids love to throw themselves into a sea of colors). Using an inflatable pool means that you don't need this to be out all of time, it is soft and provides a decent cushion on the sides (we put a thick therapy pad under ours to protect kids who like to dive in). It is also easy to clean the pool and the balls all at once. Plus this can be used as a ball pit, put a duvet full of pillows and its a crash pad, fill it with water or sand, foam, goop, etc. There are loads of options to use this for. Activities and games can also be created based on the child's age and goals. For example, one game we play a lot is a sort of tiny basketball. A therapist can ask the child to find a red ball and then a blue ball and shoot them into a hoop. Doing this works on color identification (as I mentioned before), receptive language, multi-step directions, and the fine motor skills of finding and grasping the ball, motor planning to throw the ball into the hoop, and so on. To sum it up: They are fun, great for sensory and body awareness therapies, and I had this deep personal bias that it would just be so gosh darn fun to have one, even if just a temporary one to pull out as needed. It cost us $37.99 and measures in at 90x 58 inches, which was a perfect size for the space beside one of our climbing towers/rope tree and the wall. If it ever gets a hole in it or gets damaged (which one has), I am not heartbroken, after all, it cost less than $40 and is easily replaced. We blow ours up with the tiny electric air pump that we use on all of our inflatable therapy tools (peanuts and yoga and therapy balls). It is the same kind used for camping/air mattresses and works like a charm It is tough to blow up without this, so I definitely recommend picking one up if you don't have one! There is a cap in the bottom that allows you to fill it up with water and then simply open the bottom valve piece to drain it later. We use this for balls, water, and sand play but you could fill it with foam or goop for another sensory-fun option. I am still rating this as 5 stars though we have had to buy two. The first one we bought ripped along an inner seam (due to some of our rowdier kiddos) and was not fixable due to the location. Mind you, this was after month and months of constant daily abuse by multiple kids from age 3 to 12 all jumping off of, diving into, thrashing around, and generally having a good time with it. ... show more
