    • Nice corner media cabinet for the price; some assembly hassles.

This corner cabinet is good quality for the money. I purchased the unfinished option; I have not stained it yet so I can't comment on whether it the wood will accept stain evenly. This cabinet is actual wood (instead of fiberboard, etc.) except for the back of the cabinet and the drawer bottom. All other pieces are solid wood - which is a rarity at this price point. I hired someone to put it together. He is an experienced handy-man. He had no problem with the main part of the cabinet, but the drawer was (as several others have mentioned) a pain. He finally discovered that, although the drawer slides had been pre-assembled, they were on backwards (front to back). After he turned them around - no problem. 4 stars because of this problem, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. I would recommend this cabinet based on the wood quality, overall sturdiness, and attractiveness. ... show more

I don't expect much out of furniture out of a box, but this was a pleasant surprise. It was relatively easy to assemble. We made a couple of mistakes, but they were our fault for not following the directions perfectly. We were able to quickly fix these things, which had no negative impact on the piece in the end. The toughest part of the assembly was securing the shelf, attaching screws through the hole in the brackets as it was very difficult to see, there were no pre-drilled holes, and it was a tight space to try to turn the screwdriver (kept dropping the screw and having to start over). We had no trouble with the drawer that others indicated. It looks like a decent piece of furniture and we are very happy with the purchase. ... show more

I purchased this stand to put a 43 inch tv on. All the pieces arrived undamaged and the pieces are heavy. Lots of reviewers indicated a problem assembling the drawer but I had no problem. I am a 60 year old female and I was able to assemble the entire piece by myself although I admit it would have been helpful to have a second pair of hands when putting the shelving together. I did purchase two wooden 28 inch legs to bolt to the underside of the back table top for added stability as the stand appeared to be a bit top heavy. The company sends hardware to attach the stand to the wall which would not only look cheesy but force damage to a wall and eliminate being able to move to a different corner if need be. I stained the top and shelves and painted the drawer and sides to match existing furniture and I am very happy with the results. Although the pieces come sanded, you should still lightly sand before you stain or paint for best results. Only downside is that price is $35 cheaper now than what I paid but not enough to make me regret my purchase. ... show more

I was impressed as I was removing all the parts and pieces of lumber - with the wood and imagining it stained and finished. I've purchased and assembled many DIY furniture items before, so this was going to be a piece of cake... I thought! When attempting to assemble the first two pieces I found it difficult to insert one of the camlocks into the provided hole. Well, the hole wasn't drilled deep enough to allow the camlock to be inserted all the way. Calling the support line informed me that only hardware can be replaced and if there was a problem with any of the lumber, it has to be returned to the seller! GREAT! I still have most of the package it came in and I've initiated a return/replacement with Amazon. Admittedly, Amazon makes it easy to return items... but, the challenge was in repackaging everything back into the box it came in. What a pain! Here's hoping the next one will be manufactured properly. If the next one is good I'd be happy to bump up the rating. FOLLOWUP: Received the replacement and assembled it with no problems. This table had a crack in the top near the back. I decided that this was something I could live with - the crack adds a little character. For the price I can accept a few small flaws and upped my rating from 2 to 4 stars as it really does look great stained and finished. I like these pieces enough that I've purchased additional items and I'm pleased with them also. ... show more

The hinges were on backwards so it took us a while to figure out the drawer. We had to unscrew and flip them around. The material is great. Happy with how it turned out in the end.

    • Great, even for large TVs

Works well, if a bit undersized, for my large 47" LCD TV. However there is no worries about stability or sturdiness, this thing is tank like. It accepted stain well and looks good. I love how it looks in my family room, moving the TV to the corner is a huge improvement. My only complaint would be the large warped pieces of thin wood that they include for the drawer bottom and to be placed on the back to cover/block viewing of the wiring. The drawer bottom was a bit of an adventure to get placed into the grooves due to its inability to remain flat, but after playing with it for 10 minutes it is in place. The drawer bottom does not seem very sturdy. The back piece of wood was so warped as to nearly be an almost half circle in my kit, and cracked and fell apart when trying to attach it. I just used the stand without it. I used cable ties anway so its not that unsightly, but it was the only real dissappointment I've had with these International Concept pieces. ... show more
