THIS IS FOR: Giociv Interactive Cat Toys Ball for Indoor Cats. We have a very active, small, 9-month old cat. He wants to play all the time and wears us out. We have bought lots of, many-many, toys for him. Some successes; some total failures. But this is the best; this one is fantastic. He is constantly entertained by it. He was a little intimidated by it for the first couple minutes where it would chase him and he would run and then he would chase it; i.e., he would run away from it, but when it went the other way he was quickly following it. He quickly adjusted to it and realized it wouldn't hurt him and he then began to pursue it if it turned away from him but would turn tail and run if it came in his direction. At times he just follows it around like a Mutt & Jeff caricature. So cute. So funny to watch. It has slow mode, fast mode, and interactive mode. The light flashes a different color for each mode. It rolls erratically and it flips its "tail" out of its own way easily; it fits into the smallest places and manages to get itself out of the tightest spots. If it stops because the pet hasn't "paid attention" to it, don't worry because its light will flash on every couple minutes in this state, so you should be able to find it. It is easy to program. I'd guess it lasts 8 hours with our "monster" who won't leave it alone, but it may be longer. Hate recharging it because nothing else we have entertains like this does - and then YOU don't have anything else to distract him. We give it a 2-hour charge. We love this ball and are so happy we ordered it. We strongly recommend it to entertain your kitty, especially if he/she is super playful and full of energy. It is so much fun to watch him interact with it. He's addicted. :) ... show more

UPDATE FEB 2024 We wanted to share what has happened since we posted our review (below). The Seller reached out to us and offered a refund for the product. As we enjoyed our kittens interactions and the price was reasonable, we could not ask for a refund. The Seller, Giociv, quickly got back to us and offered a replacement at no cost to see if the issue we had occurred again. Regardless of anything else, this was great customer service. We received the replacement shortly thereafter and immediately set it loose for the kittens. We have had no issues so far and have let the kittens play with it many times a day. We do, though, clean out the gathered kitten fur frequently. Would I recommend this for cats? Yes, without hesitation. Am I impressed by the Seller's response? I am. If your kitten/cat is a hunter type, they will love chasing, catching, watching, stalking this toy. ORIGINAL - 3 stars We received this back in NOV 2023 for our 2 new kittens. They absolutely love this toy. It kept them busy, interested, engaged, and ultimately tired them out! What fun it was to watch them. We allowed them to play with it for short periods of time, once or twice a day. After use, we recharged it getting it ready for the next round. Now, in early FEB 2024, the battery lasts only for a short time, less than 5 minutes. The kittens play with it differently but still truly enjoy it. Sadly, the dying battery charge makes it less and less fun. Am I happy we got this? Absolutely! Can I recommend this? Perhaps ours had a bad battery, I don't know. If ours is typical, I cannot recommend it. If it is an outlier, I would recommend it. As far as the toy in play, there are 3 different settings, though our kitties liked the blue setting. My cats love to watch this move around and chase it which is fantastic for when I'm busy and have to work. It has quite a lot of wonderful settings including a mode where it starts moving when the cat hits it. Works great on carpet and hard floors. Really fantastic toy, but it is pretty loud and bumps things pretty hard. The battery life also feels pretty short with a long charging time. I might charge it the entire time overnight and only get about 30 minutes to an hour of use out of it. ... show more

this thing rules. a cat toy that Ive always dreamed of. it goes for hours on one charge, has many different modes of rolling around that it cycles through, can be pretty loud, but overall its an amazing cat toy that my cats love. I’m impressed with its durability and how easy it is to remove the ball for cleaning. For how much exercise and fun the cats get out of this, its a huge bang for the buck. ... show more

So this is a great cat toy. It has a random pattern, runs into things and changes directions and will go all over the house. My cat enjoys it. The one thing I would say would make it even better is if it were a little larger or that the company offered a couple of sizes. This ends up under my couch or a chair or under our buffet.,. and it always seems to end up there when it loses charge. If it were just slightly larger we would not have that issue and it would get recharged more often and used more. It is a high quality product that is functionally great! My nearly one year old kitten love this toy. It’s really quite smart how it moves back and forth and then forward, freezes for a bit then vibrates\dances. It seems to get out of any corner. Three nifty modes (slow, fast, interactive) and super durable tail. Comes with an extra one. Can’t recommend enough. Best 20 bucks you’ll spend on here if you love your cat lol ... show more

This is a good cat toy. It comes with an extra rope, is easy to operate, and does move well. It works on both rugs and wooden floors and gets itself out of places where it could potentially get stuck. It is noisy however, when it bumps into things. That noise, plus the fact that it moves on its own, is enough to frighten my chicken cat, though! She will watch it, but runs away if it moves near her. Oh, well, I tried! ... show more
