I bought this golf mat because I wanted something simple to practice my swing at home without tearing up the yard — and honestly, it’s been great so far. The mat feels solid and has way more cushion than I expected. You can take full swings without that jarring “shock” you get from cheaper mats. The built-in ball tray is actually super convenient too… I didn’t realize how nice it would be to have everything in one spot until I started using it. It stays in place really well. I’ve used it in my garage and out in the driveway, and it doesn’t slide around even on harder swings. The turf feels realistic enough for home practice — obviously not the same as the course, but definitely good for working on consistency. Only things to know: It’s big, so make sure you have the space (especially ceiling height if you’re indoors). You can tell the turf will eventually wear down in the high-impact area, but that’s pretty normal for any mat. Overall, for the price, it’s exactly what I wanted. Super easy setup, feels sturdy, and lets me actually practice at home without heading to the range every time. Would definitely buy again. 🛠️ Simple “How to Use It” (no overthinking) Lay it on a flat surface — garage, driveway, basement, anywhere with room to swing. Pick one of the tee holes and pop in one of the included rubber tees. Drop a few balls into the tray so you’re not bending down every swing. Start with a wedge or 7-iron until you get comfortable with your space. Work your way up to driver once you’re sure you won’t hit the ceiling or a wall. Roll it up when you’re done and lean it against the wall. That’s it. No complicated setup — just lay it down and swing.

Thick, stable, and feels close to real turf—no cheap bounce or wrist shock like thin mats. Built-in ball tray is clutch, doesn’t slide around, and the hitting surface holds up even with heavier clubs. Absolutely worth the price if you practice at home.

Lays nice and flat after you roll it out and let it breathe. Not slip resistant on grass or dirt. After about 4 or 5 swings I am no longer facing straight. I’ve probably hit about 500+ balls off it and I am just starting to see where I strike the mat. For the price I think it is a good product. Has a nice cushioning feel to it without being too soft of a feeling. Only giving it 4 stars because of it sliding during swings. If you put it on concrete you won’t have the same problem. Just something to think about.

Great quality and has held up well with the amount of use it gets. We used to have to replace the smaller grass pads quite often but we’ve had this for a year and it’s still in great shape. Definitely worth the money!

I set up my golf mat today and I love it! Took two photos. The net I purchased from Amazon as well. I am very pleased hitting balls off the mat into my net. Satisfied how well the tray held my golf balls. I had a small mat that came with my golf net. But was not very stable. This one is the perfect size for me.

Edit: after cutting an area out and placing a high Quality hitting mat there, i realize this mat was beating my elbow and joints up. This will need some loading underneath if used for legit practice or a sim. Thickness not so great after a few hundred shots. The mat is supposed to be 4'x5', neither direction is correct, both sides are short by an inch or more. It also includes the black rubber "tray" within the claimed 5'. Your hitting area is more closer to 3'10"x4'4". I would've probably went a different direction if I knew this prior. I'm standing on the edge of one side, to be able to use the driver and I barely fit. The foam seems nice, I've only hit about a dozen shots so far but it'll do the job it was made to do. The appearance is great, thickness is good as well.
