  • Wish I'd have bought this a few years ago!
Color: Orange Pattern Name: Bike Trailer
My kids were so excited when I got this. It was pretty simple to put together - my 5 year old even helped. -It easily hooks and unhooks from my bike. -We only ride down sand country roads and it has held up GREAT. -Love the orange color as it's easy to see when riding down the road. -It holds my 30lb 2 year old and 40lb 5 year old together. (even though the weight limit says it's lower than that) -I love the option of putting the wheel on front to use as a stroller. I had to use it one day when my bike broke to push my kids 1 mile back to my house. ... show more

  • Compact fold up, excellent structure
Color: Teal Pattern Name: Bike Trailer
Came packaged nicely. Super easy set up and really easy once you do it a couple times. I’ve used this in the rain, winter and hot days. Although the material is not waterproof it protects pretty well as the water glides off if you’re going fast in bike mode. During winter the clear window offers great protection from the wind in bike mode again. During summer in bike mode the kids get a good breeze and there is enough exposed framework to attach portable fans. Straps are easy to adjust and the side push buttons release is easy especially when I have long nails. Tip- when adding the handlebar for stroller mode, unsnap the fabric from The back, add the handlebar and snap back. Easy to clean if you need too. I left mine for a couple days on car roof in a roof bag and it rained and water for in. The material did look like it was developing some mold. It was pretty easy to remove the inner seat to wash and the out shell was scrubbed and dried with a air blower. The tension of the seat is adjustable as there is a bottom strap that adjusts, see red arrow in my pic. So as kids get older it can be loosened and give older kids more room. The back pocket holds so much stuff I had a diaper back, mini still for myself and one for the baby, snack bag and summer toys like kites and bubbles. One thing to keep in mind is small items as they can roll forward from the back to where the kids feet are. Not really shown but mine came with a little flag. Only thing I didn’t like was there are two small pockets (see yellow arrow in pic) on each side on the inside. It fits ultra slim water bottles but not some of the rounder sippys baby’s use. It looks like a wide pocket but the top doesn’t allow much stretching. All in all, a great 2-1 buggy. ... show more

  • Easy, light and functional
Color: Orange Pattern Name: Bike Trailer
Easy to assemble, light, folds up for storage, and functions as advertised. I got a deal on prime day that I’m going to keep! My car is in the shop, so I used this to return amazon purchases to ups and pick up my groceries.

  • Good entry-level product. The more you use it, the more you'll want to upgrade
Color: Orange Pattern Name: Bike Trailer
The idea behind a trailer/stroller combo is pretty fantastic. In theory, it allows a reasonably athletic parent to haul 2 <5yo children and all their gear a couple of miles in comfort and safety without having to worry about parking or negotiating public transit. Then on arrival at the playground, museum, grocery store or other destination, it becomes a full featured stroller. For a certain cachet of urban parents, the top-of-the-line Thule Chariot, which retails for $1200, is the ultimate responsible parenting accessory. So how does the instep trailer, costing almost $1000 less, stack up? And how does it stack up against it's more reasonably priced competitors like the $400 Burley Honey Bee? Short answer, this trailer stroller works. It hauls, it strolls, it switches between them. Long answer, it doesn't do these things as well or as reliably. And it has a few maddening quicks and shortcuts to save on production costs. Setup: the instep is fairly easy to set up, especially if you're comfortable assembling bike and baby equipment. Build quality and materials aren't fantastic, but everything works. There are lots of snap buttons and velcro where competitors use zippers and fasteners, such as in the rear compartment, which always seemed precarious to me, although I never actually lost anything. As a trailer: Once it's hooked up to the bike, it's actually hard to tell the difference between this and a premium trailer. Premium trailers have bigger wheels, suspension systems and cushier seats to make it more comfortable for the kiddos, but I haven't actually had a kid complain yet. Half the time I make it home with a sleeping toddler in the back. Score one for the instep. My biggest complaint is that the pin which attaches the trailer to the bike needs to be removed completely during the attachment process, and can easily get lost. Would the $3 in parts and labor it would have cost the manufacturer to attach it to arm with a bit of tough nylon really cut into their profit margins? I guess so. 8/10 As a stroller: Premium stroller/trailer combos have invested in all kinds of clever devices to assist the transition from trailer to stroller and vice versa. Not so the instep. There's a screw, and a knob, and the whole front wheel assembly comes off and gets reattached on the other side. You have to hold four things in your hand at once. I don't like this. I haven't lost a screw or washer yet, but I'm sure I will at the worst possible time and place. The other issue is that there are no brakes. Well, the manufacturer has included some string with a snap hook situation you can wrap around the wheel, but it's totally impractical. Like most trailer/stroller combos where the arm is part of the combo, it has an excessive footprint on sidewalks, interiors, and going through doors. Overall the Instep works, but it won't replace your daily driver. 4/10. Bottom line, for the money, this thing works. I got mine to see if I liked using a trailer/stroller combo. After one season, I definitely see the appeal, so I'm going to upgrade to something fancy and scandanavian. ... show more
