I had my updated selfie stick mounted on the frame of my Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. (ARRRR) extended fully at about a 50 degree angle behind the bike. It held up at illegal speeds, however the Insta360 X5 camera would bob up and down over bumps. I kept checking the mirrors to make sure it didn't set itself free, so wanted something that would put my mind at ease. This bracket came to the rescue. There's unfortunately not anywhere further back to mount it, but the additional support made a huge difference over relying on the single mount. The support clamp is made of metal. There is a soft surface inside the clamps to provide grip and make sure you don't damage whatever it clamps. It is very adjustable to fit whatever setup you have, and clamps extremely well. If you want peace of mind while riding around, this will give it.

After buying my first Insta360 camera and a mount, which was the U-bolt motorcycle mount(which is a very good mount). I quickly noticed with the selfie stick extended it wobbled around a lot more than I expected. So I started looking for ways to stiffen up my setup. I went with the Insta360 brand support clamp, based on the quality of the u-bolt mount that I had previously purchased. The quality of their stuff is very good and this support is no different, it's very well made. I found it really works well to add extra support up my setup and also provides more confidence that stuff will stay put. If there is a weak spot with this system it's got to be the o-rings they use on the ball mounts. Personally I don't expect them to be much of an issue. But it should be noted that if/when you adjust this support clamp you should back off the ball mount clamps pressure so as you're not introducing a lot of friction (or any ideally) on the o-rings. That being said they should be fairly easy and cheap to replace if you damage one. 20mm OD and 3mm diameter is very close to their size and I would call it a hard o-ring on...probably 75+ on the durometer scale.

Been using the selfie stick just screwed into a quarter 20 mount and in some locations it's a little sketchy. This will allow me to reinforce it. Very heavy duty well made.

Insta360 needs to do a much better job of showing how they intend for this to work, or, show real world examples rather than AI generated photos. The solution on its own will not bear the weight of the camera and extended selfie stick when mounted for the 3rd person POV on my bike. No matter how much I tightened it down the weight of the camera and wind forces when riding at speed would cause the arm to fall over a short period. EDIT: I’m updating my review to provide a more accurate reflection of my latest experience. As stated above, this should be used in conjunction with another one of their mounts. In my case, I used the Heavy Duty Motorcycle Clamp to thread the selfie stick into. Then, I used THIS clamp to secure the handle of the selfie stick to a secondary point on the bike. This guaranteed that the stick would not move anywhere. It should be noted that I couldn’t use the extended selfie stick as the vibrations and bumps from the bike caused it to collapse inward but this is not a review of that product.
