  • 3.0 out of 5 stars It's aiiiight
OK. How should I put it? I have had it for about 3 weeks now. It's a nice little supplement camera when you want to get that 1st person view. It's really small and light but to the point where you know you will drop it, you just hope you don't. BlUE, I used my points to get this camera and what you get for the price, it's rather expensive. So let's just get to it. camera pros: -it's tiny and easy to carry around without being overly obvious by swinging a larger device around -the attachments work well and seem to give you the right attachment for almost any situation... The necklace magnet is my go to attachment. It sticks pretty well even with light jogging and comes off really fast and easy -works out the box with no external battery (charges in the case) -the 15-30 sec record time. I initially thought it was going to be a bigger issue but it wasn't. Most clips I use when making videos are from 5 - 15secs when I edit and trim down. -quick recording.. That's really the only way I use the camera because it doesn't record long enough (1min max).. To really leave on and tapping to go between modes is annoying -splash resistant, because sometimes good shots come when it's raining out. -the case is very convenient for storing and charging Camera cons: -it's small. You can easily drop it and lose it tight areas -the lid of the case can be Lost or broken unless you get a silicone case -battery life sucks, usually about 45 min If you are in the app downloading videos -short cables -no view finder so you have to pretty hope you're getting the shot -picture quality is and low light recording is horrible. Really feels like it's a sunny day camera -sometimes, you think you're recording, but you aren't. Connecting with the Bluetooth is way better when you want to take intentional videos and change modes -it gets hot, so constant recording is not a good thing, you will not want to try to record something that's constant back to back as if you're trying to record a 5 min video -only 1 angle. I know it's seems like common sense but I also have an insta360 one x, so you get spoiled when you can adjust the angles -stabilization is not good. It's someone ok if your just walking or not moving much... But if you wear the camera on you... It's gonna bounce those shots -storage limit, I think it's 8gb and not expandable Sometimes it has a problem turning off... I learned you had to hard reset it by holding the button for 20 sec Application pro: -it's easy and straight forward. -delete the original automatically after downloading -you can connect Bluetooth to control the camera modes and to take pics and videos and will prevent the camera from turning off App cons: It's way to basic. There are pretty much no options for anything. - Insta360 still builds around Apple. -insta360 has the same crappy music options as its other cameras -downloading to other apps seem pointless if it just saving it to your phone for you to move it over yourself Overall.... The price is rather expensive for a supplemental camera... You can get the same shots from a go pro but the size and weight is what sets it apart ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Great quality horrible execution
This camera would be great if you could actually record like they advertise it i use for fpv drone videos & theres no way to know if you're gunna get "5mins" worth of videos its super important to me that it shoots the full 5 mins ive had it stop recording on me at about 2mins I understand that it gets hott but its strapped to a drone going 20mph just to find out when i come in for landing that it stopped recording mid way through for v2 i think they need to revisit the "5min" recording option & make it easier to use also the charging on this thing is a joke i would have it be in the charging case & i go to use it & its out of battery when the case is fully charged even when you flip it do its not charging still kills its own battery i wanted to like this thing so badly but everytime i took it out it would have issues especially when im trying to keep my drone under that 250g limit ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Kind of a flop
First I want to say Im a big fan of the insta 360 company cameras . But this was a big let down . I own the insta360 and the r version of they products . I was hoping for a a better small cam.The picture quality really wasn’t that great . The edit software is awesome and one of the easiest & best around for a 360 camera work flow. The sound quality was also great for such a small camera. But its a bit limited for the picture quality which matters the most in my opinion. And especially comparing with what they have put already in the other camera they have out. Looking forward to getting their new insta x two . Also in for what ever the reason my camera would not keep the charge . So it would die super quick . Im hoping they will address all does concerns in they second version. If they dont discontinue it . ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Struggles in low light, but good for short video clips
I wanted a personal vlogging camera that was easy to use and edit clips, and it delivers so far. The audio is actually impressive and video is useable for hobbyists. You can even customize the way it operates in terms of button click controls. I only wish it that came in black and a better frame rate, but otherwise, it does what it's meant to do at it's price point. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great camera to add to your kit
One of the coolest new cameras on the market but has a couple of flaws. Easy to drop and damage the lens which has no protection while filming. Only being white attracts other people eyes while you are wearing it on your chest. A darker color or color choice would be better. Image quality is good enough for social media although Facebook is annoying playing at a slow low resolution of 240p. There is a way to work around this but beware. Instagram does a better job. This is a fun camera that can capture some highlights of what you are doing and with the great software and effects does it with style and a cool factor. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good images
Easy to use, decent app for editing, only issue is the charging. Tends to lose a lot of the charge over night. Recommendation is to put the camera in the charger backwards after it is fully charged to prevent drainage of the charge but haven't found that to help much. Fortunately, it is quick to charge. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Light camera with much to offer
I’ve been looking forward to this camera! It’s small and packs a punch. The box comes with all you see here: charger, cables, mounts, etc. I’ll be using this to make quick recap edits of my adventures. The self editing in this camera is pretty unique. I’m pretty lazy when it comes to editing, so I’m super happy it has this feature. The quality and stabilization is great as well. If you’re looking for a simple light weight camera that will capture your adventures or add a creative spin get this! ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Decent camera with some QA issues
Footage is pretty for its size and it's convenient to carry around. Also the stabilization is superior. However, for my camera, the rubber seal that sitting in the gap between the front transparent plastic cover and the back metal cover is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Please check the photos if interested. I can deal with my OCD if this is a toy costs less than100 bucks. ... show more
