  • The BEST air mattress!
Color: Tan
I rarely write product reviews but I am so impressed with this mattress I felt compelled to put in a review. I originally bought this mattress to use while camping. I love tent camping but I'm at an age where I don't want to sleep on the ground anymore. I've used air mattresses for camping in the past and most of the time they were fine, but they tended to lose air and you were still only a few inches above the floor so it was always a struggle to get up an out of the bed. After removing the bed from the packaging and unfolding it, you can feel and see the quality of the seams and the heftiness of the plastic. It only takes a minute or two to inflate it using the built in pump. I chose the firm setting and when I felt it was firm enough I laid down on it and was very impressed with how firm it was. After laying on it for a few minutes I climbed off and could instantly hear the pump kick in for a couple of seconds to add a little air. As it turns out I ended up not using this mattress for camping because I injured my shoulder and was unable to set up a campsite. For reasons I won't go into my significant other and I found ourselves in need of a queen sized bed and didn't wish to purchase a new bed at this time. Instead we decided to use this inflatable bed as our regular mattress in our home. This mattress has worked perfectly as a home mattress, is very comfortable and very easy to get in and out of. It's very easy to make the bed every day because it takes almost no effort to pull it away from the wall to straighten the sheets. We don't hear the pump anymore and the automatic feature may not be working properly, however it loses very little air and we can manually add air with the built in pump if we need to. I can honestly say this mattress is an excellent substitute for a conventional or memory foam mattress in the home. Young people heading out into the world for the first time usually don't have the money to purchase a new bed. If you find yourself moving around a lot you can just deflate this bed for easy transport. Camping? Sure! Need a place for guests to sleep? This is perfect! There are a few things you should know before purchasing this mattress. Because it is filled with air there is no insulation between the bed and a cold floor so you need extra material between you and the mattress. The mattress pad included with the bed isn't worth much in this respect and doesn't stay in place anyway because the sides are too short. The company should address this! We put a second, thicker mattress pad made for deep mattresses over the top of the small pad and then a fitted sheet over that. It's a very snug fit but we aren't cold anymore and everything stays in place. The other thing is this bed can make a fair amount of squeaky noise when you move round on it. This is due to the plastic adjusting to the weight distribution. This noise doesn't bother us at all but may bother others. We've been sleeping on it now, every night, for the past three months with no complaints! This is a GREAT inflatable mattress and for the price it is fantastic! I can highly recommend it as a temporary mattress or a more permanent option if you can't afford a conventional bed. ... show more

  • Absolute junk. Didn't last for even a month of use. Plus other annoyances...
Color: Tan
Very poor quality. After maybe 30 nights of use the mattress developed about a 1/2" hole right at the seam of one of the little round circles (which are in the mattress for an unknown reason) and the rest of the material. This happened spontaneously and for no cause. I was laying in bed ready to sleep and started to hear a leak out of the middle of nowhere. Other items of note: -The "whisper quiet" 2nd pump is loud as can be and sounds exactly like a cheap fish tank pump, because it probably is. The thing also ran every single time I ever got up off of the mattress for about 30 straight seconds. Every. Time. This culminates in the bed getting firmer and firmer for not reason at all over the course of a few days. -The bed itself is too firm for my taste even on the lowest setting, of which you only get 3 options. If you let air out of the mattress while you're on it you can make it as soft as you like, but as soon as you get up the fish tank pump will air it back to full pressure again, which can take a few minutes. So, if you have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you'll be coming back to an overly full bed again and have to listen to the pump buzz away for a couple of minutes while you're doing your business. Annoying... I also imagine this would seriously disturb a second person in the bed if you're sharing it. -The "pillow top" is just a slightly padded sheet and is barely big enough to even fit the bed. It does not stay in place at all and you'll have to remake the bed about every other day because of it. -The bed itself is about 10% smaller than a normal queen, so all of your bedding will fit it very loosely which also helps make it come off easily. -And the biggest annoyance of all, imo... The second pump doesn't even do the job I hired it to do! When the mattress sprang its fatal leak I just put some packing tape over the the hole to get me through the night and I assumed the second pump would just air it up over and over throughout the night and possibly disturb me slightly... It did not. I woke up multiple times literally on the floor and the pump never engaged! It wasn't until I finally had to get up for work after a horrible night of sleep and the mattress was almost completely empty that the fish tank pump finally kicked on. Thanks for nothing! --- I bought this mattress to replace a 13 year old Aerobed that developed a slow leak that I couldn't find (I suspect a seal in the pump had failed and Aerobed no longer sells parts for that model). Over the course of that mattress's life it had seen months of continuous use from various moves and out of town temp jobs that likely amounted to a year or two of time in service. I bought this bed expressly because of the second pump so a failure similar to what happened to my Aerobed SHOULDN'T have taken it out of service. As I came to discover, the second pump is absolutely useless to reinflate a leak and obviously it didn't even make it a fraction of the time the Aerobed did. The only "pro" is that this bed is about 1/2 the cost of Aerobed, which is what I will be replacing this one with the next time I have a need... Amazon is replacing this bed under the return policy but I won't trust the replacement for any more time than a few weeks either, which is all I need right now while I complete a move. I'll also note that this bed is physically about 1/2 the weight of the Aerobed, which leads me to believe the material about about 1/2 as thick, which is also how it appears and feels. Anyhow... I stay away from this bed. Either buy something absolutely cheap or step up to something much more expensive. I think if I had to do it all over again I'd probably just buy a cheap conventional mattress locally where ever I need to roam and throw it out when the assignment or move is over. It appears that all air beds are pretty much junk and other than the extreme ease of moving them, are not worth the hassle. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
Color: Tan
Well this bed is smaller than queen bed I bought called Simmons beauty rest and doesn't have flock top. You can see in picture even with memory foam and pillow top you can feel the bumps in bed so I would not recommend it for sleeping on for several nights. So I would buy the Serta no flat pump since smooth flock top if you want the no flat pump and better support with smooth top. The other bad part is raised edge along out side edge must be to keep water in if you spill on bed but it makes it hard for pillow top to stay on plus pillow top bigger than bed period so it will not stay on and if it where flocked it would stay on better. So I do not recommend this bed period and would go back to Simmons beauty rest but Simmons you have pump it up every other day but has great support . This bed has terrible support since you can feel all those indents in bed. So I can only give it four stars since it is high priced for what you get so spend but bed is durable. But four stars are because it is quality built and has the no flat pump which works like advertised but over priced compared to competition for what you get. Bought pillow top for deep mattress now stays on and three adjustable levels are no difference at all but bed stays full all the time and no leak issues but wish it was actual sized queen since I am 5'10" and my feet hang over so I will be going back to my Simmons beauty rest and deal with filling it every other day 4 months after buying it it tore open on a welded seam ... show more
