It is comfortable and has a variety of comfort levels available as well. It takes a while to pump up but it turns off automatically wether inflating or deflating so you don’t have to babysit the thing and hope it doesn’t explode or have to guess at the firmness level. Fits me and my hubby comfortably we both weigh around 180-200 lbs. he is almost 6’ and I’m 5’3 so plenty of room for taller people too. It is very tall but that’s what makes it so comfortable. Sheets that fit it are a lil more hard to find I’d suggest going with a king size sheet or a queen XL. It’s a bit expensive but honestly totally worth it if you need a good reliable air mattress we don’t have a normal bed so this is what we sleep on every night. The best part is the “never flat” pump mechanic. Keeps it from sinking and deflating all night.

Sleeping in heaven. This mattress is so easy to I flate you just turn the knob to which comfort level then the mattress just inflates to what you set it to. It doesn't deflate because of coldness or weight at least me and my husband weight he is 178 and I'm 170 . We purchased an Beautyrest inflatable mattress and it deflated so many times during the night we'd wake up literally on the floor. My husband went on Amazon and found this mattress and I must say 109 is money so well spent. My husband was smoking and the cherry fell on the bed and put a hole in it and since we had the other mattress my husband cut a patch from it and super glued it to this mattress and I must say this mattress inflated right back to its firmness and it's been two days and the mattress is still inflated and just as comfortable. Please purchase this mattress it lives up to its claim of adjusting to differences. But once it us at the firmness you set it doesn't just keep inflating it's done. It keeps its shape. Love this mattress. Will purchase more for family.

This is our second one of these Never Flat airbeds. Our first one had the dual pumps, one main pump for fast inflation and the "never flat" pump for quietly maintaining that inflation. It lasted for quite a few years of occasional use before finally leaking beyond repair. I see that some reviewers are complaining about the noise that the new single air pump makes when it is in the "never flat" mode. I think they possibly didn't wait long enough after the initial inflation of the mattress. Right after the bed fully inflates to your desired firmness, the never flat mode kicks in and for a few minutes it is, indeed, rather noisy. It makes a sort of pulsating sound. But then, after it reaches it's optimum pressure, it quiets down to a barely noticeable, steady whisper. So, we're just as satisfied with this new mattress as we were with the original design. For the price, we see it as a good purchase every few years.

This is the best inflatable bed that keeps its firmness throughout the night. Unfortunately, the never flat fan that turns on seems to be making a lot of noise. Its the third mattress I’ve purchased. Will be returning this one Update. Its only been a few months. The air mattress has been used maybe a total of 14 days. It no longer stays inflated, the pump makes a lot more noise and does not keep up with the “never flatness”. Can’t find where its leaking air from. Disappointed. Will not recommend again.

I bought the Insta-Bed raised air mattress in 2013 for traveling to a relative’s home who didn’t have enough beds for our entire family. My husband and I thought it was exceptionally comfortable and felt great after using it. Through the years, all of our guests who used the mattress have raved about it and my son-in-law said it was the best air mattress he had ever used. The best testament as to how comfortable this bed really is: my sister-in-law used the mattress last week and loved it so much that she took it home with her! So, I just ordered a replacement exactly like it. The price has increased (as expected) since 2013 but it’s worth every penny and more. This is one of my best buys - ever - from Amazon and I buy a lot!!! Also important to note - This bed is extremely easy to sit down on and stand up from due to it’s height. It’s also folds up easily and compactly for storage and transportation.

EDIT: My partner and I just need to learn how to read the box. You keep the air in the mattress just by having it plugged in to the wall while it is being used as a bed! It will regulate the air by itself! The air mattress is very easy to inflate and was fairly comfortable while it held air however my partner and I would wake up during the night/early morning because we were laying partly on the floor. It never actually stayed completely inflated. We have been using it for three weeks off and on. Still have the same problem.

There is much to like about Instabed, this is our second one. The first one failed with a leak around the exhaust port after 2 years. There had been similar comments, so we knew about it. Hope this one lasts a little longer.
