  • Excellent for the Price
Size: 24 Inches
At 1080p on a 24-inch screen, it works well for television. It's great for an extra TV and the picture seems pretty good. Setup is easy and it would be hard to find anything at this good for the price anywhere else. (I one one of these1080p TVs and also a 24-inch at 720p) The TV is also light and easy to move, so it is very portable. You can set it up at the kitchen table one day, and move it to the garage or breezeway the next. It has a decent selection of channels such as Freevee, Netflix, Tubi, etc. You can plug a Wi or old-style VCR into it also. I have had mine for about a month now and have no complaints. I have this one set up on the floor with a dust cover out of the way in the living room. I can pull it out and have it on a small table in about 30 seconds. It's a perfect solution for a room where you do not have a place for a full-time television, and do not fell like moving the big master TV around. You can get used to the screen being smaller quite easily. ... show more

  • One of the few full HD TVs made in this small size (24")........and worth every penny!
Size: 24 Inches
UPDATE 2/2024: We loved this TV so much, using it in our kitchen, that we purchased a 2nd one for travel. It's compact and easily fits in a small spare suitcase with some towels to protect it. For general viewing, the screen is smaller than the 28" 720HD we had, but, due to being sharper at 1080, we barely have noticed the smaller size and have no issues seeing the sharper image on this. Small text is one area where this TV over a lower 720 resolution will be noticeably easier to read. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have owned other Insignia TVs including a 43" 4K Tv we use in a patio room that's served us well for over 5 years. We wanted to replace our 720 27 inch kitchen with something smaller to save space and still be able to see it clearly. This little 24 inch 1080 tv has a very clear, sharp and high quality 1080 picture. It's smaller screen size still blew away the more pixelated and larger screen size of the Samsung 27 inch 720 TV it replaced. Text and faces and general detail is much more clear and defined and we have not really noticed any negative factors of going to a screen about 3" less diagonally in size. All of the Fire apps works that we installed including, Netflix, MAX, Paramount+, Disney+, and STARZ. Also, we notice the CPU/processor in this TV is fast! Menu selection and app, input and settings selections are fast to access and move though what you are doing in the menus. Don't expect built-in speakers for any flatscreen TV to sound that good. This tv has downward firing speakers and a thicker base to it, allowing a slightly larger speaker. You can hear what you need to, but, for us, we've been using the -Polk Magnify Mini 2- sound system for our kitchen tv and this new TV works perfectly with it to give us full sound in a very compact system in our kitchen. Check out the Polk models, there are two, one with surround and one without, with both having a nice subwoofer that is included. We have the non-surround model and it works perfectly in our kitchen. These two Polk models are sold on Amazon too! If you want to hear very clear dialog, I strongly suggest checking out these Polks! For under $140, you get a small full def tv here that has a full, in-depth menu to tweak settings to your hearts content. When I purchased this TV at our local Best Buy, I wasn't aware it has a menu that's as complete as a much larger, higher end TV, but, yes, it has it all for the setup menu. 5 stars all around. If you need a compact, space savings TV, but, want one with a full HD (1080) capability, this is the one to seriously consider. There a VERY few full 1080 definition TVs in this size and although it's only a 24 inch screen, the difference between 720 and 1080 will be obvious no matter what any sales person will tell you. (Seeing is believing). If you want full quality sound for movies and other audio needing crisp dailog and full bass with a dedicated subwoofer, please do check out the Polk Mini 2 models at Amazon, you will not be disappointed! ... show more

  • For the price if it worked at all, it would be worth 5 stars.

I'm deducting a half star for step one of the assembly instructions. Putting the legs on the TV was difficult. I had to widen the holes in the legs so the screws would fit through so they can screw into the body of the TV. I did this by forcing them though the back side and then backing them out. I suppose I could have drilled them out, too. Then I had to use a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screw until it could be fitted to the hole. The legs are designed so that there is not a person on the planet that has fingers skinny enough to fit the screw into the hole. So much for the major negative. Setup went as it should have. one nice feature is that login credentials are shown in clear text by default. Be patient with the software updates. You'll get there. The menus are simple enough to navigate and I had no issue downloading and installing new apps. Another nice feature was that I could move the apps for which I have subscriptions to the front of the list. I registered the TV with my wife's account on Amazon. This made the default name Maureen's TV 2. and I can't change that. It's a minor annoyance. I really want the name "Dan's Man Cave." :) I called technical support to ask about this issue. They told me that I'd have to work this out with Amazon, but they were responsive. So tech support is available. Picture quality is good and it interfaces with my Direct TV box without any issues. I waited until tonight to stream the Thursday night football game. I wanted to see how it handles streaming live sports. Spoiler alert: it does it well. I had an issue with the sound and audio syncing. I went to settings > Sound and clicked reset. I also went to Settings > Sound > Advance and turned Trusound off. One of these worked. The sound is still good. As my den TV sitting right next to my 24 inch computer monitors it meets my needs perfectly. [Edit] with the help of a USB to HDMI adaptor. I made use of HDMI3 and connected the TV to my computer. It makes a good monitor, too! Definately worth the price. ... show more
