This TV replaces a standard 720p television. While the old TV had a cord for power and a cord for a fire stick, this new TV has just a power cord. Set up on arrival was pretty easy; just follow the prompts. Picture is crisp and clear and there are a plethora of settings to adjust the color, format, and sound. There are two HDMI ports and both are available because I don't have to connect a fire stick. Also, it has the old audio and video ports for someone with an old VCR or DVD player. It weighs about half of what the old one did. It has mounting holes for wall mounting which is what i've done on the bedroom wall (mounting hardware is not included). The fire TV remote is the modern version and voice control works great with it. Finally, the price is a bit less than what is offered at WM for 24" TVs that are not Fire TVs. ... show more

I'm an avid recycler so I didn't buy a new smart fire TV until my old 14 year TV died just recently. I've used the newer technology at other people's homes so knew exactly how they work and I'm very happy with this Insignia choice. They offered the 32" which was just what I needed. So far everything is perfect and it works fine. Setup was quite easy and the screen picture is beautiful. Do I miss my old TV? Yes I do. It had better sound (not tinny) and the controls were easy to navigate but I am learning that only one remote is better than needing two. The stand the TV comes with is sketchy at best and is not very supportive. However, the overall quality of the TV is good. Mine had an issue for a while where every time I used it there would be a moment it would glitch out and get stuck. Sort of like a record stuck, and then it would turn itself off, restart, and work fine. They would not replace it as I got it on sale and would only refund my money, so I kept it. It has stopped doing that for now, but if it totally fails I will update this review. The picture quality is decent though the sound leaves something to be desired. Great little TV! We paired this with a rolling stand for my sons room so he could enjoy his Wii, switch, switch 2, and other gaming systems on it. He also uses Netflix, and prime video often, so for this price it was a no brainer for sure! Quality is amazing for the price, and the size is perfect for his smaller room. All his gaming systems work with it through the RCA and HDMI ports without a problem. Easy setup once all the downloads are finished, and it even has built in Wi-Fi so A+++ Sounds good enough for his gaming uses, remotes simple to use, and the screen response if fine for basic usage like his. I wanted to add a nice TV and replace my 50" Inch that I used to have by the sane brand bur, only had X amount to work with. Insignia is a great TV and delivers great quality. I even got a Saiyan soundbar for it and a HDMI 6ft cable. Keep in mind, it best to use the HDMI for the volume, picture and sound. I only use the soundboard remote to control the volume and the soundboard remote for my sub. It responds great (even though it may glitch hear and there) but, I still enjoy it during my downtime. I only use the HDMI. The soundboard came with the optical and AUX cable. Bluetooth constantly cuts out. You can only adjust on the TV with no HDMI hooked up. The TV sound isn't bad but, we all want that full range sound! Yes, the TV is light and thin. I do plan on getting another 50 for Xmas. ... show more

This is my second Insignia tv after my old 20inch one just gave up after 15years of watching it in my bedroom it's gotten through many hours of being stuck in bed after being injured at work, Now to this new tv it was very easy to set up and so far it's working great with the expected high end picture quality and it did connected to my wyfi right away something my main tv didn't do but for now i mostly use it for watch dvds & antenna tv but it does have high quality sound & picture and well worth the very fair price and it's a win if it last half as long as my old one, Thanks ... show more

For 80 bucks, and the fact you don’t need a fire stick to add to it I can’t complain. While I personally prefer LG, especially for highly used TV’s, I have this series of Insignia in 2 spare rooms, my kitchen, and garage. Haven’t had any issue with them other than Alexa at times seeing them as offline, however to me that isn’t a deal breaker at all. ... show more
