The media could not be loaded. Perfect size for a medium size stove. Good quality workmanship and does a good job with humidity (see video) especially with a hot fire…simmers with a smoldering fire. Inside is a ceramic coating and outside is cast iron (be sure to coat well with canola oil to keep it from rusting or chipping)… I recommend using soft water to prevent mineral buildup seen in other pics.     • You Can Use Without a Wood Stove

This works so well for winter dryness and you don't need a wood stove to use it. We've discovered that regular plug-in humidifiers are problematic for us. They're hard to keep clean and we suffer ill effects from them. We actually just use this unit on top of our gas stove. It's attractive, heavy and effective for what we need. We fill it, set a timer for a couple hours as a reminder to check it and either refill or turn stove off. ... show more
