I have had many needs over my life for extra weights to hold something down. This has ranged from a tent, to studio lights, tripods and tents. My most recent one was my daughter got a home gymnastics bar for Christmas and I needed to weight it down to keep it from moving. I figured, why not get something that would be multi-purpose and be able to meet all of my needs. These would do the trick. The material feels heavy-duty and will hold whatever I put in it. Sand or rocks are probably best for weight, but since I am using it indoors and had water bottles handy, I used them. I could fit five bottles in each pouch (I maybe could have gotten a 6th one in), meaning 10 bottles per weight. This gave it a decent weight and enough for my needs for the gymnastics bar and more than enough for a tripod or light stand. If I was going to use it with a tent, I would probably want to go with something heavier and it feels like it would be able to do so without issue.

These are a great thing to take camping just in case you need them. They weigh nothing and you can put rocks in them to make them work. If the ground is too hard to jab a steak into to hold your tent down. Bottled water is more lightweight, sand works best. They do get a little dusty, but I did throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry and they came out looking brand new. I tried to use one of these for a sun umbrella, and it just does not stand up. I used two of them with four water bottles, and it stood up for a little while, until the wind took the umbrella down. These might work with a lighter umbrella like a beach umbrella I’ll bet.

I'm using these weights for another use than intended. They are designed to hold down a canopy, Patio Umbrella, etc. I'm using it to hold down a solar panel frame on the top of a storage locker. We will be storing our car in a storage building without electricity. I purchased a solar battery tender and mounting rack but the storage company does not allow us to screw or permanently mount anything to the roof of the building. These weights (filled with sand) holds the solar mounting rack well to prevent sliding down or blowing off. They are well made with plenty of velcro straps and I expect many years of use.

Used these with sand for a 10 x 10 canopy. Worked fairly well on all four sides, however I could not steak these in for the event. Stealing them down would work much better. They are a little awkward to work with. They are bulky to carry also. I prefer not to use these in the future.

These sandbag weights are so much better than I expected them to be. They are made with so many straps and mounting options that you'd be hard pressed to find a place where you couldn't put them to work! I bought these to stabilize the tripods that hold our band's background banner when play local gigs outside and they are perfect. Each bag has two tubes that are 16" long and 5" in diameter that you can fill with sand, large water bottles, pebbles, marbles, etc. They seem to be very well built and of good quality material - it's not rip-stop nylon, but it looks strong enough to last a few years. I am very happy with my purchase and will come back again should I find a need for more.

Really big bags to fill up with sand or water. I didn't expect them to be this huge, but they work well and has Velcro straps to attach to your stand for stability. Very nice quality and easy to fill and empty with wide openings.

I received these weights a few days ago and I love them already. Up to this point I've been staking the canopy down or adding sandbags to the feet to try to hold it down, but the stakes usually don't do a great job and with the sandbags, I always seem to trip on them. These weights are extremely versatile in the fact that you fill them with sand, rocks, or even large water bottles. The straps the use are no joke, once you strap these things to the poles of the canopy, I'd be surprised if they ever came off. These are great quality bags and so much better than expected
