I purchased this light system for my Dillon XL 650. It arrived on time and my first impression was that it's a quality build. The LED light strip is well made not some flimsy thin plastic with LED's attached. The strip lights are covered with a flexible clear poly which seems very tough and comes with a great adhesive back to secure it to the mount. The center light pops right in place and works great also. It comes with easy to follow instructions and does a great job in lighting up the critical areas while reloading. Wire management is made simple by using the included wire management adhesive clamps. Well worth the money and I highly recommend this upgrade.

Strengths: Design, ergonomics, materials, easy to install Weaknesses: Zip ties not included Recommendation: Defintely recommended for a Dillon 650xl, or any progressive press with a center hole in the die holder plate. Probably the most ergonomic upgrade for the press, similar to an upgraded primer catcher for a rock chucker. I recommend getting a pack of 3-5" zip ties to help with cable management. Review: This is probably the most impactful/ergonomic upgrade for a Dillon 650. I'd almost say necessary upgrade, given how often I use it (which is every time). The addition of lighting makes it a lot easier to see what's gone wrong, or to visually check each case following critical operations (like powder charging). It doesn't generate much heat (if any) and doesn't interfere with operating the press. The kit contains an LED light strip with adhesive backer, an LED spotlight for the center of the die holder plate, a piece of scotchbrite red to scuff up smoother finish presses, and an AC->DC adapter for both the lights. Like most others, I attached the adhesive backed strip to the side closest to me, so it shines away from me. I was skeptical of the adhesive, but after a year it's still firmly on there (and I did not scuff with scotchbrite pad). The die holder plate light just fits in the top, no need to secure it, though I did zip tie it to the casefeeder cord, which is velcro tied to the case feed support. Total install time was probably 30-45 minutes, but I was being very particular. You could just throw it on the press in a few minutes, but I wanted to take the time to secure the wiring and neatly install it. If for some reason this kit stops working, I'll buy the exact same one all over again; no qualms. I accidentally left it on while I was out of town for 3 months and it was still one when I returned.

This is a 2 light kit with one in the tool head and one strip to put on the frame. It works for the older 650 and newer 750 series since the use the same tool head. The one in the tool head fits snug but easily removed to swap heads. The strip is adhesive backed and sticks well. The lights provide a great amount of light to see into the cases as well as between the cases. The cords have plenty of length and are small enough to easily keep out of moving parts. A definite upgrade worth the money.

This light kit comes with both the LED for the center hole of the die holder plate, and also a thin LED strip that you stick on the inside vertical area of the press. I've had zero clearance issues with either of the lights. Lights come with a switch in the DC cord that I ziptied to the support for the case feeder tube (dillon 650) so I can leave the DC adapter plugged in and use the switch for on/off. peal off adhesive strip holds great, and it also comes with some peel and stick wire holders. I did use a few extra zip ties to make wire routing clean and out of the way. In my opinion this is a must have add-on for any progressive press. The folks at InLine were great to work with, very fast shipping.
