  • Excellent combo. Great value
Color: AMD Ryzen 5 4500 + ASUS Prime B450M-A II
So, I had an old i7-2600k die. I bought this combo, and bought some cheap ram. I swapped it all out in an hour, and plugged it in and it all worked first try. The motherboard had a nice mounting bracket for the cpu cooler, everything fit so snugly. I was super impressed. For $240 I was able to upgrade/retrofit a decent gaming rig into a much more capable one. ... show more

  • Fast, working as stated but HARD to Get working
Color: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D + ASUS R Strix B650E...
First, you MUST update the BIOS to the latest version. A MUST! For me this motherboard is very picky with a lot of small issues. Youtube is your best friend here, just search each issue you have one at a time to see fixes with helped me a lot. I am not a expert but have built a few PC's. Once done, it seems like a nice system. NOTE: I still have one major issue and that is bluetooth. I have a bluetooth keyboard and it connects fine (MXKEYS) but as soon as you reboot the system no bluethooth devices auto reconnect. I also tried with sony x1000 headphones and same issue. You have to go and reconnect after every boot. Not sure if this is a windows 11 issue or this motherboard bluetooth issue. ... show more

  • Impressive Performance and Value Bundle!
Color: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 + ASUS Prime B450M-A II
I recently purchased the AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor Bundle, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. This bundle offers a fantastic combination of power, efficiency, and value that makes it a great choice for both casual users and gamers. The performance of the Ryzen 5 5500 is outstanding. The 6 cores and 12 threads provide smooth multitasking, and the unlocked nature of the processor allows for easy overclocking, catering to enthusiasts who want to squeeze out even more power. Whether I'm running demanding applications or playing resource-intensive games, the processor handles everything with ease. The bundle also includes a well-designed and efficient cooling solution, which helps in maintaining optimal temperatures during prolonged usage. This is a significant plus for those who want to ensure the longevity of their system without investing in an additional cooling solution. Moreover, the price point of this bundle is highly competitive, offering excellent value for the performance it delivers. AMD has consistently proven itself in the market, and the Ryzen 5 5500 is no exception. It strikes a perfect balance between affordability and performance, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious users who don't want to compromise on power. The installation process was straightforward, and the compatibility with various motherboards adds to the convenience. The bundle also includes some useful software tools that enhance the overall user experience, making it a complete package. While it's not the latest release from AMD, the Ryzen 5 5500 still holds its own in terms of performance, and the bundled extras make it a compelling choice. Overall, I highly recommend the AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor Bundle to anyone looking for a reliable and cost-effective solution for their computing needs. ... show more

  • Micro Center EXCELLENT, Motherboard is garbage
Color: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X + Prime B550-PLUS D4
I want to say first, and foremost, Micro Center is not at fault in the least for this. They are a good, reputable company that did their job in delivering this, this......(insert profane derogatory remark) motherboard and CPU. By the way, I have ZERO issues with the Ryzen 7 5700X. It is a great CPU . Anyway, here goes. I bought this board as a builder repairing one of my own computers having NEVER had an issue with a motherboard from any of the major brands. That stopped the moment I received this horrible pile of metal and plastic. It displayed every known issues at the same time. Out of the box, the M.1 slot did not work, M.2 unknown because while installing the mount screw, with no force at all, it sheared off in the mount. The second PCI-E slot does not recognize my modem. The motherboard had issues even being stable while idling in BIOS until updated, but then displayed system instability under the Win10 environment. Also, three devices/chipsets on the board we listed as unknown in device manager and no drivers were included in package, or on the web that could resolve this issue. I had to resolve with it a 3rd party solution. The SATA lanes are running all drives slower then any of my other personal builds with those same devices attached. The list goes on, but I would like to add that even the "AI Suite 3" app was limited as it constantly reverts to whatever settings it wants when you hit apply for new settings. In general, every boot up of this steaming pile is a crap shoot to how it is going to run , or even populate devices. Strongly recommend with all of the research I have done that you stay as far away fro all of the ASUS B-series boards. Don't believe me? Well, Google is free. Go research all of the known issues for this board and the other ASUS B-series boards. ... show more
