The Ultimate Edition (for XBOX 360) is well worth it! Out the box, the game has all the characters with a choice of skins (costumes). There's a story mode, online play, practice and combat (one-on-one). The graphics are well represented (Sony 40" HD LED TV) and great sound effects. One of the cool moves in the game is the ability to interact with the background items: throwing stuff, characters in the background get involved, pulling levers, etc. Another cool aspect is hitting opponents into other places (rooms, buildings, realms, etc). The kids also play the free online edition, which is limited and get's boring after a while. I tested the free online game on a few devices. It crashes regularly with Kindle HDX and Galaxy S4, so this kills all the fun. It works pretty ok on Galaxy Tabs though. No problems to date on XBOX. Overall, this game is provides loads of fun! I would recommend the Ultimate Edition (as opposed to the regular game) for XBOX. It's a great gift also for girls (Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Raven (a bit dark but not too demonic), and my daughter's favorites: Ame-Comi Catwoman and Arkham City Harley Quinn (very powerful). It's rated M, where PG may be preferred (a hint of reds when slashing but not too much and minimal/slight foul language).

Everything arrived fine! I would just recommend cleaning the disc as mine wasn’t properly secured in the box and was a tad scratched up. Other than that it works fine! :)

This is such a great fighting game and guess what makes it even better, it takes place in the DC UNIVERSE!!! I'm an absolute fan!!! My brother and I always play this game everyday till this day and I purchased this game about month ago. I love the fact that I purchased this game at $60 and it includes all the DLC characters which saved me $25 if not more if I count the DLC skins for all the characters! I recommend this game for any person who loves fighting games and anyone who loves DC UNIVERSE!!! It's easy to learn and hard to master but after the learning curve it becomes really fun!!!

Game came quickly and has been a blast. I am normally not a huge fan of fighting games, and I don't care much for Super Heroes, but the combination works really well. There aren't many games that let Superman and Batman fight it out, it's unique. It is easy to learn, but difficult to master, I am still learning new things everytime I play. The Ultimate Edition comes with more characters and all skins unlocked already, it was worth the few extra dollars. It's also worth mentioning the game has an excellent story mode and is very replayable, it is also great to play with a friend on the couch!

CONS: No Sub-Zero. No fatalities. No brutalities. Only "Super Moves." Fatalities and Brutalities are an essential part of this franchise, yet they took them out of this game for some reason. The "Super moves" look cool, but that's about it. Your opponent sustains significant damage as they should after initiating a Super move, but then they bounce right back up and start fighting again. Superman hits the opponent so hard he knocks them outside of the Earth's atmosphere and then flies outside the atmosphere only to catch up with the opponent and hit them so hard again that they come slamming back down into the ground. You'd think this would annihilate your opponent. NOPE! It takes a significant amount away from your opponent's strength bar, but they bounce right back up like nothing happened. Even if you defeat your opponent with a Super move they still get right back up then fall on their knees.... #weak PROS: Great visuals. New characters not in previous games. Interactive environments. Awesome level transitions. Overall the game is okay. Not the best from the franchise.

Great game! Lots of fun and easy for a casual player to pick up and play. It also has a lot of challenges that are different than just fighting a character. The single player campaign has a GREAT story on par with most DC animated movies and lasted about 4 hours which is a great length for a fighting game. It also comes with a bunch of new characters and a ton of extra skins including a lot of New 52 skins. All in all a great game.

The reason I posted 4 stars is because of the characters. Every time they do the same intro. but its a fine game, the reason I complained is because it starts to get annoying. Overall its a GOOD GAME. The best part about it is all the finishers or special moves that all the characters get to do when there rage bar is full or there power bar is full. It "kinda" doesn't make sense because when the characters hit you gain power and loose power that's another reason. but I think that the industry that that makes the games such as the producers of MORTAL KOMBAT should at least put a little consideration in the making of it seem just a little more realistic because you don't gain anything else accept blood loss or bruises when someone is fighting you its an irrational "utility" or power they give the players in this game. but over all its a FINE good game.one of their
