Description

Can this cable charge my other devices, like phones, tablets, and laptops? No. This VR link cable should not be used to charge your phone, tablet, laptop, etc. What factors could make the USB 3.0 link cable's data transfer speed slower? Data transfer speeds may vary due to differences in user devices and the PC's USB port. Please use the USB ports behind the PC host above USB 3.0 for better transfer speed. Why does the VR headset stick around 78% battery when I'm playing? Our built-in smart chip intelligently manages the power, keeping it at a safe and ample level, which typically settles around 78% during gameplay. What wall charger to use on the separate charging port for optimal charging speed? Please use Oculus' original wall charger and a USB C-C cable on the separate charging port for fast charging. Please don't use the extension cable with our vr link cable, it will reduce the charging rate due to energy loss. Why is there a reminder, “Liquid or debris has been detected in the charging port”? This issue occurs randomly and is a known problem with the Meta Quest 3S/3 after updating to firmware version V62 or later. It is unrelated to the cable's quality, as many users have reported experiencing similar issues.

    • This thing is great
Color: Black
When I went to the Oculus 3, I was very concerned about how I'd link it to my PC. I'd read a lot of reviews from people using the expensive Meta cable struggling with lag and compression artifacts. I wasn't sure my router was up to the task of handling virtual desktop. This cable was affordable so I thought I'd give it a try. It does the job great. My VR connection to my flight sims is super smooth. The cable has a USB port that allows your to charge the Oculus headset while using it with the default charging cable that comes with the headset. I like this cable's indicator lights that let you know when the cable is firmly connected and/or is getting charging power. The cable is heavy, so it many not be ideal for folks planning on being on the move in VR. I like it's sturdy weave cover that allows it to handle being inadvertently rolled over by my chair. This cable is a great solution for stationary simmers using the Oculus. ... show more

    • Aside from extremely minor issues, it's a great product!
Color: Black
Cable arrived just a few days ago and is already fantastic. PROS Keeps headset battery stable - Played for roughly 6 hours and battery stayed at 98% the entire time. Nice build quality - Braided cable with extended plastic towards the end to prevent bending. Aesthetic + convenient - Nice looking cable with a green LED on the end of the cable so you can know it's working! Packaged well - Came in a paper ziplock rather than plastic, and was secured in a loop by plastic clips! See notes below CRITIQUES I wish the plastic clips were big enough to use as a clip to the headset - It doesn't come with any way to secure the cable in case it was caught or yanked, which can damage the port While I appreciate the environment-conscious packaging, I did feel the packaging design was a bit unprofessional at first with the lack of detail/cushion and had me worried I'd been scammed upon initial opening. Looked like something you pick up off a Dollar Tree rack before I opened it. The port on my headset occasionally keeps saying there's water in it when it's plugged in to this cable (and only this one). Aside from these things it works fantastic and has leveled up my VR sessions immensely, will purchase again if needed! ... show more

    • Broken but still useable/ Update Review: Works Perfectly Now with Fast Charger
Color: Black
The charge worked great for a 3 days but then I noticed it wasn't keeping charge or doing it's job anymore. The Cable isn't completely useless though it still keeps it charged for longer but slowly dies. so instead of me only playing for only 3 hours it lets be play for 8 to 10hrs or longer. The headset still keeps a good charge but slowly dies as you play. still making it good in my opinion. I give it a 3/10 because it's still functional BUT no longer starts the charge after it gets past 60%. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Update Review: so last week I bought a Fast Charger. apparently both my friends who bought this have a fast chargers and I was using the basic charger that is given to you by meta. the fast charger is exactly what I needed to get this thing working perfectly. the long length of the cord helps me be more mobile with my area. The Cord plus the fast charger my headset never dies now or goes down slowly. it was good before with it slowly dying but now it quickly chargers back up to 100%. ... show more

    • Worked for about three months Then had problems with connection, even though it’s stationary
Color: Black
When I first got the cable, it was working better than I thought it would. It was keeping it consistently charged to the max. It wasn’t disconnecting me and all around. There were no problems with it until after about three months of having it. It started running into charging problems where it wouldn’t charge, no matter what and connectivity problems And now it’s basically impossible to use because it Disconnects almost every 5 to 7 minutes. They have great customer service they sent me a replacement for free after they saw the review ... show more

    • Works great
Color: Black
I got a new cable and it works great. Its nice and long with a curved end so when plugged into my Meta 3 it doesn't get in the way. It also has a port to plug in a charging cable at the same time and charges fast.

    • Perfect. The quest 3 battery loves it.
Color: Black
Perfect. Great PC link with built-in power. The built-in quest battery is much happier with full power delivered during gaming. USB just isn't enough voltage and over time the battery deteriorates from constantly being undercharged and taxed.

    • Great cable when it works

I don't normally write reviews but I hope this helps someone so they don't have to figure it out like I did. After using this cable for a week, I encountered several issues that I want to share in case others experience the same problems. While the cable works great when it functions as intended—offering an excellent USB 3.0 experience with my new Quest 3—it has frustrating connectivity quirks. Here’s the main issue: after a reboot of the headset, the cable connects perfectly with USB 3.0 speeds and delivers a fantastic experience. However, if I unplug and reconnect it for any reason, it only establishes a USB 2.0 connection unless I fully reboot the headset again. Interestingly, this problem only occurs when the cable is plugged in as shown in the product photos (with the wire extended backward). If I connect the cable in the opposite direction (with the wire extended forward), it maintains a USB 3.0 connection but with slightly reduced speeds. While I appreciate the quality when it works, the inconvenience of constant rebooting and awkward cable positioning is disappointing. I most likely will need to replace this cable and will update my review once I test an alternative and hope for the best. I saw only a few other reviews with similar issues so I hope this helps anyone else in the future. ... show more
