  • First time paddleboarding, very happy with this board!
Color: Light Gray
Good day! I just received this paddle board this week and took it out for the first time today, 07/12/2026. It was also my first time ever trying paddleboarding, so I don't have much experience to compare it to, but my first impression is very positive. The board arrived well packed, and everything was organized nicely. I used a third-party electric pump to inflate it (please see my 2nd photo attached). Following the instructions, I inflated the board to ~15 PSI, and once fully inflated, it felt very solid and surprisingly rigid. I expected an inflatable board to have more flex, but it felt very stable on the water. One of the biggest things I noticed was how easy it was for a beginner to use. The stabilization works very well, and the fin(s) seems to help keep the board tracking straight. After only a few minutes of getting used to the balance, I was able to stand, paddle, and feel comfortable on it. The overall quality also impressed me. The materials feel durable, the deck pad provides good grip, and the included accessories seem better than I expected. The paddle is lightweight, comfortable to use, and feels strong enough for normal use. The board has a quality look and feel, especially compared to many cheaper inflatable boards I have seen. The included waterproof phone case is also a nice bonus. I tested it while on the water, and my phone stayed completely dry. Since this was only my first time using the board, I can't comment on long-term durability yet. However, my initial impression is that this is a well-made paddle board that should be a lot of fun for beginners. I am looking forward to getting more time on the water and will update this review in a week or two with additional feedback. ... show more

  • Best $190 I've ever spent to get into a new hobby
I tend to go all-in on the hobbies I pick, research gear like crazy, and tend to "buy once cry once" (spend a lot on good gear). I've wanted a paddle board for a while, and I happened to look up paddleboards on Prime day on whim. I found this entire setup for $190, read a couple reviews, and bought it. Now, I've only been out on it twice but so far me and my 4yo son have had a BLAST. All the equipment in the set seems well made and decent quality. Honestly, as long as the board was decent I would expect the rest to be cheap foreign junk, but it's not. The board is great quality, and if I didn't know it was an Amazon SUP, I don't think I could tell the difference comparing it to other SUP setups I saw at Costco from name brands. I have to say it LOOKS and feels very high quality, comparing this to a lot of the other cheap Walmart boards I saw on the lake it was easy to tell this is better quality and better looking board than a lot of other cheap options. The pump might be the weakest part, but it could be that a board this big just takes a LOT of air to get it to 15 PSI. I'm pretty fit, and I'd say it takes me 10 minutes of solid pumping to get it to 15. The pump works fine, I just don't think it moves a lot of air with each stroke. Not a big deal, I"ll probably buy an electric pump but this is fine in the meantime. The board is great, I was worried it would have a lot of flex (bend under weight) but if you get it to 15PSI it feels like it might as well be a rigid board. I have very little experience, but it's very stable and I was standing and paddling comfortably with my son on the front after about a minute of getting a feel for the balance. We basically used it as a swim platform, getting on and off, and my 4yo was jumping off it like a dock and it never came close to tipping. The paddle seems strong enough for being a 3-piece, didn't flex much, and was ergonomic. Nothing special, but decent quality and works fine. I obviously can't speak to long term durability, but my initial impressions are very good and we've already made some great memories. Can't wait to get out on it more, but for now $190 dollars to get into (another) fun outdoor hobby is about as cheap as it gets to do anything these days. Highly recommend. PS: I put my phone in the waterproof phone case (which you can take photos with while sealed, I was pumped to discover) and stuck it in the front of my PFD. My son and I jumped in and my son said "dad, your phone is in the water!" I plucked it out and set it on the board, and when I got back to shore my phone was perfectly dry. So the case works as advertised too. ... show more

  • Got all the features, at a fraction of the price.
Color: Light Gray
Loving this board. This isn't the color I planned to get but it was the one on sale at the time. Another reason I bought this one was thinking it had a GoPro mount and technically it does not. It has 2 1/2 20 female posts. One near where you stand and one at the tip. You have to find your own camera mount. I haven't found a good one yet but I've only taken this out twice. My friends also have boards from this brand but a different style. The center fin I thought would make more of a difference but my friends warned me to not bother and I'm glad I didn't with it. Because at least the fin I got was longer than the others. It really hinders you from going into any shallow spots, or around things in the water. The normal back fins were hitting things I could only imagine a longer fin in the middle. It might help in a take, but in the ocean and the springs around Florida.... Not a great idea. The first time I took it out I didn't bring a seat or cooler or anything and really wished I did. Second time I just went out I packed a small Ozark trail 30quart cooler and that was amazing. When your tired or need to pop down you can, then ready to stand back up. I didn't even attach it to the tie downs altho I think next time I will take the extra moment and strap it in just so that when sitting on the board in the shallows the cooler doesn't pose any chance of moving. The paddle is really nice but my only complaint is the middle expansion joint is not comfortable and naturally where my hand wants to rest when I'm really paddling. So over time it wears at my hands. I love the fact it is adjustable and I tightened the latch and it's super solid. Also nice to be able to shorten it when I'm sitting. But not comfortable for miles and will probably get worn out and floppy over time of hard pushing. The included pump works great, not sure how long it'll last. I have a handheld Ryobi raft/ inflatable pump. I'll use that to get the majority of the air in there for volume. And then I switch to the hand pump for the actual pressure. I will for sure end up getting a motorized 2 stage pump down the line, especially if we start going out more or I convince more of my friends to get these boards. 🤣. All in all this is a great bang for your buck board. I wanted this one specifically because of the camera mounts, the middle tie downs, and the Bungie sections at the front and back of the board. Great for putting a life vest under one, and waterproof backpack and speaker in the other. Cooler in the middle. Board so far feels durable and like it'll last a good while. The foam foot pad already has a stain after 2 times out so not sure what that was but could be expected with any board as foam is somewhat poreous. ... show more

  • Phenomenal Starter Board
Color: Gray
I weight 270 and paddle with my dog (Corgi, + 28lbs). Gear is another 10-20lbs (cooler w/ water & snacks, anchor, ropes & misc). TL:DR - this XL board is very stable for what it is....a phenomenal entry level board. I am a fluffy man, and this board has impressed me. I consider Niphean a high tier entry level brand. The warranty is good. I paddle with someone that bought a cheap one at WalMart years ago and it still runs. Makes me believe this one will last a while. Dog nails have scratched it but I have no concern of a tear. Someone made a video of driving over this one without a pop. I did not know what type of paddling I'd be doing so I went with this one. Happy I did. Kayak seat is a great addition for chill days in choppier water. Plenty of room for a cooler, gear, kayak seat, and my dog. I spent a quarter of July in the water. 2-6hr days in the water just chilling with meals and drinks in the cooler. My Corgi can move around without hassle. No regrets. If it interests you.....now that I know this sport has become a hobby, my next board (in 2-3yrs) will probably be the Hydrus Joyride XL. Niphean and Hydrus compete in different market segments (Honda vs Porsche). If my budget for a board is $300, I would go with this one again. If I could spare a few more $$$, I would go with the Niphean pro models for better stability (I wish I did). Obviously boards that cost 2-3x more will be perform better. However, the last thing you want to do is drop $600+ on a board to learn the sport is not for you. Things that could be improved: My pump gauge works. Many complain that it arrives broken. A quick guide on fin setup would be nice. Took me too long to realize the massive middle fin made turning more difficult and that more fins = more drag. I only use a single rear fin at this point. Also, make the massive middle fin usable in the rear with the ability to clamp. I tried it and it helped me track straight much better (with downsides in shallow areas of course). ... show more

  • Good board, awful cup holder
Color: Light Gray
The board is sturdy, and inflates in ~5-10 minutes. Easily fits into the carrying bag. Is very light while inflated. Only small issue is that the included cup holder is useless. There is a bolt-fitted recess at the bottom of the cup holder that suggests the intended way to install it is by placing the bolt in the recess and spinning the cup holder to tighten the bolt like a wrench. But the plastic is too soft to grab the bolt, and the recess prevents any wrench/pliers/fingers from reaching it. If the plastic was firmer and (and the recess was reinforced) it would work perfectly but the manufacturers clearly made a bad decision with material that renders the fitting useless. There are cutouts to attach bungees with to hold it down but good luck getting it to hold firmly enough to the board so that a standard water bottle wouldn't tip over. The mounting panel is raised and smaller than the cup holder as well, so without being able to fully tighten it, you end up with a loose fit that rolls over the edge of the mounting bracket. Small gripe when it comes down to it for an otherwise functional, sturdy, and affordable board. ... show more

  • Great value, most everything you need for basic use, minor drawbacks that probably won’t bother most
I would recommend this board to most users with exception of advanced, hardcore users who need high performance equipment. Even then it’s not a bad board for middle performance needs. There’s much offered at a reasonable price. To me the package is worth 5 stars despite the CONS mentioned below that don't really affect the core use of the product. I’ve only had mine for a couple months and a few outings so I can’t remark on long term quality. For real: Just buy an electric pump or a high quality dual chamber manual pump because you’ll hate trying to manually inflate to 12+ PSI with the pump it comes with. **PROS** READY TO GO: It’s got all you need to carry and paddle for a day of water fun included. PADDLE: it’s basic but is adjustable, light weight, and floats. 4 FINS: The extra fin in the middle is actually helpful to keep the board straight while paddling and reduce the left/right wandering from each paddle thrust. The fins slide in and out plus un/lock easily with little plastic tabs attached by strings. That middle fin does get in the way when carrying it by the center handle as the fin is right where the hip is. It’s easy to avoid for short walks or remove for longer walks so not much of an issue. TIE-DOWNS: front and rear bungees are flexible solution for holding more gear. Why don’t all boards have both? They’re not in the way for sitting with multiple riders and are useful to many. DUAL SCREW MOUNTS & CUP/PHONE HOLDER: Front and center screws mounts are great for GoPros, fishing rod clamps, and the included cup/phone holder. This means more flexibility for different kinds of boarding trips like lake fishing or longer river or coastal runs. D-RINGS: There are plenty for tie-downs and adding a kayak seat sold separately. Note that Niphean manufacturer sells matching color dual blade paddles too. I bought one because sitting is a good respite on long trips and using a single blade paddle while sitting is arduous. NICE GRAPHIC DESIGN: the colors and design are fun and striking. People compliment my board often. The bright colors don’t absorb heat as much. I have a second board that has a large black deck and it gets hot quickly in full sun on warm days. **CONS** BACKPACK: It seems made of lightweight material and construction. I’m assuming it’s going to rip sooner rather than later. Problem is it’s tempting to carry more than just the parts it came with like an electric pump, water shoes and maybe a spring suit, plus other odds and ends. Feels like I’m stressing a bag that was barely up to the task with just its items. However, I’ve carried all the stuff I need on about 8 short and longer hikes to rivers and lakes without issue so far. I’ll baby it as much as possible though. REPAIR KIT (lol): These affordable SUP companies are fond of including patches for “repair” but no cement or instructions or anything beyond a couple strips of vinyl. Some vinyl and no way to adhere it is 100% useless if I’m out paddling and need to fix a leak. I have to think they include a couple pointless patches so that the whole package looks like a better deal in pics before you buy. I emailed a support rep about it and they seemed to suggest they’d send me parts for an actual repair kit. So I replied yes please with an address but then they replied that I shouldn’t worry because these boards are usually fine and don’t break easily. Ok, whatever. It’s more weekend rec with my kids and not multi-mile treks in some remote areas nor lengthy ocean trips for me. PUMP: These basic hand pumps are very difficult. 15 PSI/1 Bar is standard pressure for SUPs but I dare you to get past 12psi with the pump. Not only takes a looooong time and lots of energy for at least 12-15 exhausting minutes of back-breaking pumping, you also have to weigh a lot to actually depress the pump toward the end. I weigh 175 and it’s impossible to get past 12.5 let alone 15! I quickly bought a decent quality electric de/inflate pump which can easily get up to 15 PSI. This works in my car and larger camping batteries will work. I use an Ecoflow River battery and it has enough wattage to push these hefty electric pumps. ... show more

  • Great board, lots of fun, excellent quality.
Color: Linen Gray
I have taken this board out a handful of times now and I love it! I feel very stable and it looks great. I am new to paddleboarding so I can't compare to other models but I find this to be easy to control. The paddle is decent, although in kayak configuration I wish it were a little longer. The fins are nice, and the center fin helps stability for sure. I love the inflatable seat! It's very firm and offers a lot of support - I just wish it could sit a little more forward on the board. The 1/4" connectors seem neat but I can't find any accessories that use it, but maybe something will come along besides the cup holder they included (which did NOT fit the 1L plastic bottle I tried in it). I can't comment on the included pump's performance since I have an electric pump, but I can say it is LARGE and I'm glad I don't need to haul it with me. ... show more
