had them installed well i like my music loud and bassy these worked great for it even put a lot of power to them well in just a few weeks the tweeters blew and the mid bass part of the speaker smoke a lot, didn't handle the power like i was hopping for so I switch to the really old cheapo Sony explodes I have that sound the same except not as much bass there wattage range is a lot less than the infinities and the Sony's handled the power with no problem. Last year I purchased a pair of Kappa-93iX 6x9 speakers for my Dodge Challenger, and they were a huge improvement from my factory 6x9 door speakers. I selected them due to their low impedance of 2.5 Ohms, which is a close match to the factory amplifier. They produced fantastic bass as well as crisp mids and highs. Unfortunately, one of them became defective after 15 months, and my extended warranty covered the cost of replacement so I ordered a new pair on Amazon, sold by Pacific Stereo. However, what I received was a different model of 6x9 speakers (Kappa-693M), which has a higher impedance of 3.0 Ohms, and has only a Sensitivity of 94 dB instead of 96 dB (Indicating lesser sound quality). Another difference was that the footprint is different, so my car's door brackets will need to be modified in order for them to fit. I sent them back and went on Crutchfield to order the correct speakers, and I discovered that Crutchfield shows the Kappa-93iX speakers have been discontinued by the manufacturer, and Crutchfield no longer has them available. Yet the Amazon product information page for Kappa-93iX currently says "Is Discontinued By Manufacturer: No" so I checked the manufactures web page and sure enough they are no longer listed there. So before you try to order the Kappa-93ix speakers, I would suggest you contact the seller first to make sure that they actually still have them in stock and are not simply switching them out for another model! ... show more

Replaced the front door speakers in my 2016 F150 XLT. Sounds much better. They arenโ€™t going to blow you away, but you will be very happy with the improvement over the factory speakers. The factory speakers are molded into a plastic mount frame which includes a disconnect plug on the F150. I cut the old speakers away to save the mount ring, screwed the new ones to the old ring, soldered the wires from the old ring to the new speaker, screwed the mount (w the speaker) back to the door, and used the existing plug on the old mount to plug them back in. They are much bigger (height/depth) than the old ones but there is plenty of room. Worth every penny if your looking for a big improvement without spending a ton of money on a big dollar system. ... show more

Bought these speaks knowing infinity is good had them hooked up in normal car mount enclosure,sound quality,ok.built air tight box AND OMG these things rock.everyone asked. Where is the sub lol no sub,these things shake my entire car,feels like a lil kid sitting behind me kicking my seat. Feed em power they love it ... show more

Put these and the kappa 6.5 in the rear doors and wow! I have never been an infinity fan but I have a base sierra double cab without the Bose system. Anyone looking for good speakers look no further. Buy these and the 6.5 for the rear door. You will not be disappointed!

I choose these speakers based on overall sound quality. The sound detail is awesome, deep bass not the strongest, at the moment with factory radio. No problems with low impedance. With metra adapter for my toyota highlander 2013 and some insulation materials, installation was very easy. Next waiting for infinity 62ix pair and a 3.5 inch for the front dash. ... show more

If you have a 2016 Dodge Ram with the Alpine system don't even think about getting these without performing major surgery on your door! I had to cut the bracket the keeps my window track aligned. Now when i lower window towards the middle of the roll down it stutters like half an inch no biggie. Tried pulling the window down by hand and that was not effected thank God. You also have to cut the plastic grille that used to cover your stock speaker. Trace out the speaker on a piece of paper and tape it to the grille making sure that its in the right position before you start cutting. Jigsaw would be ideal but all i had was a sawzaw so i made due. Since i really have no experience in the audio installation field i'm sharing my experience. Yes i could have bought smaller speakers, but i'm the kind of person that doesn't take no for an answer, plus these are the speakers that i really wanted. Posting a pic of the finished product still dirty from all the plastic shavings that i made. All in all definitely a good buy and worth the headache. ... show more
