I had bought some regular 100% cotton fabric from a store to do some custom embroidery on. It was much too "loose" and wouldn't stay tight in the hoop, and started looking stretched on the design. When I ordered this fabric, I was impressed by it's sturdiness, while still looking like a delicate fabric. I have been searching for a fabric that is similar to the canvas like material in beginners kits. I finally found it with this fabric. It is great to stitch on and not see through at all but it does shrink so keep that in mind

This fabric is 1000000% what I was looking for. Buy it!! It is the perfect thickness and weave. It received transfer paper color very well, and it washed out just as easily. I tried several different fabrics that said they were for embroidery but they were all to thin. This one is the right thickness. You can see to trace your own pictures onto the fabric and still have the fabric be strong enough to do satin stitch embroidery without feeling like your stitches are going to tear the fabric. ... show more
