Excellent tablet mount for your vehicle. 3 points of adjustment and 7 inches of arm length. Rock solid. No vibration at all. Holds my ipad mini securely. I mounted it in my truck for my ELD. The cradle is plastic, but everything else is machined aluminum. This unit is light years better than ANYTHING you're going to find in a truck stops. VERY competitively priced. ... show more

This is rated 4/5, only because I only found out AFTER buying a second piece off amazon to make this longer, that the tackform website had way more options than are on Amazon. I understand that Amazon is kind of a bad deal for sellers, but I wish there had been some indication that there was a 12" arm available before buying the 7" one listed here. I would advise anyone buying this product to check the website before ordering here for that reason. Also, be aware that if you plan to lengthen it, you will need a 20mm-20mm ball attachment that was ALSO not available on amazon. I wish I knew beforehand so I could have saved some money and time getting what I wanted. I usually would not review a product this quickly out of caution for it breaking, but I don't think this one will. I think the only point of potential failure on it is the piece that holds the tablet. Everything else is solid metal.I bought this to serve as basically an eisle for my ipad to draw on, as I have a pinched nerve that won't let me sit at a desk, and it serves it's purpose well. It's been a couple weeks of using in it's completed state, it and I have no complaints about the product itself. I attached it to the wall and this + the addition of the 12" arm has the total length at around 20". There are some angles that have minor slippage, but it is even at that length, stable enough that it will stay in place pretty well even while being drawn upon without needing to be braced in any way. This product is more expensive than pretty much all the other tablet arms I saw listed here, but the quality definitely reflects that. You can buy the longer arm attachment as an add-on for what it costs to order the cheaper ones first and have them break on you. Just check all the modular options for what you need and buy this one and save yourself the trouble. ... show more

We had a backup camera system that came with a terrible mount. The screen was thicker than a tablet, but the brackets on this mount let us mount it. The arm is solid and so far it's stable in our truck.

    • Exactly what I needed

After purchasing one of those garbage $60 holders from a loves travel center and super gluing it to the plate on my freightliner dashboard. I changed trucks and didn’t want to do that again having to deal with all the glue running everywhere and it just being dirty because every once in a while it would break loose and you would have to re-glue it again. Not with this bad boy, no sir, this awnry ba$&@?d once you’ve screwed it in place it ain’t going nowhere and it ain’t moving. It’s gonna act like a squatter and once it’s there it ain’t going nowhere. Obviously drilling and screwing something in is hell a lot more effective than glue, but the rest of the pieces the ball joints, which is what concerned me, but they have grooves on the balls to help eat into the screw and make sure that nothing slides around or anything once you set the position you want. Plus the inclusion of the back plate that you put on the back of whatever you’re drilling into once you’ve screwed everything in is awesome. The only problem I had was locating a one of the bets which is like a six star hex of some kind that would match up to it. I accidentally stripped one of them a little bit, but was able to complete it with another bit and screwing the nut into place. Other than that this thing is golden. Just make sure you find the right screw bit to tighten these bad boys down ... show more

Very solid, stable,sturdy. I have it on a piece of construction equipment and it holds an 11" tablet no problem! Installation was a breeze. Only thing I recommend is putting an extension in the combo. But they are not expensive.
