  • Pleasantly Pleased with Both Price and Performance! Pleasantly Pleased with Both Price and Performance!
After buying a AeroGarden and then getting hooked on hydroponic gardening, I expanded my garden with the purchase of a 8 pod Mufga. The unit came assembled and was easy to setup. I planted 2 pods with prepared tomato seeds from an outdoor container tomato plant, 4 AeroGarden pre-seeded pods (2 lettuce and 2 herbs) and left two blanks. After only 5 days, the tomato seeds sprouted and by the 6th day, one of the lettuce pods sprouted. I was very surprised and pleased. This is a basic unit, but is preforming well. I like the ability to select lighting (fruit or vegetable). It is a little noisier than the AeroGarden, but I don’t have all the pods filled, that might be the reason. The only real negative is it didn’t come with spacer plugs to cover unused pod spaces and neither the AeroGarden or Daxiga spacer plugs fit. As you can see from the pictures, the AeroGarden pods fit reasonably well in the Mufga. ... show more

  • Impressive! Mufga 4-Pod Works Wonders. Impressive! Mufga 4-Pod Works Wonders.
Size: 4 Pods Color: Black
I purchased this unit more than 1 year ago. It has never failed me. Seeds always germinate quickly in this unit. What I like most about the unit is: 1) The lighting works swell for my green, leafy veggies, 2) The unit is easy to clean, and 3) The telescopic light pole extends higher than my other small units. The one feature that I hope to see on this unit in the future is the ability to customize the lighting schedule. Other than that, I continue to enjoy growing food and starting seeds in this growing system. ... show more

  • Love it!
This Mufga has been so much better quality than I ever expected for this price point! Super easy to setup and operate and my herbs and veggies grow like crazy! I always feel like I have a brown thumb so this is a huge deal for me to actually have grown and harvested some things already - I’ve never been able to grown something to full harvest before, lol. My only regret is that I bought the 8 pod unit instead of an 18 pod unit but I’m about to get the 18 pod unit soon and that way I can use one unit for growing fruits and flowers and the other for veggies since that requires 2 different light cycles. ... show more

  • MUFGA Hydroponics system
I own several systems by Aerogarden. I thought I would try this system as it is considerably less expensive. It works great! I like the fact that the light can be raised higher than the other brand and that I don't have to empty the tank every four weeks. You will need to buy seeds. FYI- you can use Aerogarden kits with this unit. This unit has eight holes. That is great if you plan on transplanting them to an outside garden after a few weeks of growth. If, however, you plan on harvesting your plants, i.e. vegetables, keeping them in the unit, then I recommend only plant in four of the holes as the plants will get big and they grow VERY fast. Be sure to cover the unused holes to prevent algae. ... show more

  • Not bad Not bad
Size: 4 Pods Color: Black
This works great. I love how the lights extend higher than others. The peppers love it. I just wish there was an easier way to schedule the lights. And a feeder timer. But the light schedule is my number one issue. Sturdiness is great. I put 4 seeds in. 1 Fresno chill and 3 sweet habanero. The germination rate was 100%. And after a few months the health of the plants are still great. ... show more

  • Perfect for small spaces Perfect for small spaces
This is the first hydroponics system I've ever used and I'm so impressed by it. It's easy to set up and comes with everything you need to get started except the seeds. The lights are very bright - vegetables get red, white and blue LED lights and fruits/flowers get red and white LED lights. Since the garden light cycles through 16 hours on and 8 hours off, I start the cycle at about 4pm since it brightens the whole area near my sink and kitchen till the morning hours. The water pump also goes through working cycles but it's so quiet I barely notice it running. This is a great investment to see if you enjoy growing fresh herbs, veggies or flowers without the mess of dirt and pots. I really like that it's compact yet powerful. I set it up and have noticed sprouts starting just 3 days later. This is perfect for a small space like mine and it seems like it's very durable as long as you handle with care and follow the included instructions. Make sure you hold on to the base with one hand while gently lifting the light so it doesn't pull out from the bottom of the unit. Take your time and it'll raise higher as the plants grow taller. I can't wait to try it for fresh produce through the winter. ... show more

  • Not reliable!!!
I bought this in 2023. I have bought 2-12 pod mufgas for myself and 1-12 pod for my relative. They worked great. That is why I decided to try the 8-pod mufga for herbs only. I used it and grew stuff in it 3 different times. I just brought it out in January, but just a couple of days ago it started leaking. I was lucky that this time around I had put it in my grow tent. It had been working fine since Jan. I took the lid off and pressed all the pieces together. It leaked again. It doesn't leak right away. I even went down in a couple of hours to check. My final time around the pan I put it in had water in it. Now I'm constantly going down to check on the others. This was the newest one so if it broke down what's to say the other won't. Make sure you put them in a pan if you already own one. If you don't have one then don't buy or you will be paranoid. ... show more

  • Seeds Will Grow, Still Would Not Repurchase
Would not purchase again even though the product worked. I have been able to plant seeds, sprout and grow, and have enjoyed greens and herbs, which I what I’ve chosen to grow. Here’s why I would not buy these units again: 1) Loud beep when it turns on with no way to mute. I have 3 units, the 8-, 12-, and 18-pod. Each is on a smart plug because the units don’t come with timers, I assume to save costs. No problem, I had extra smart plugs. The advice is to have the lights on to mimic natural sunlight. Imagine my terror and then irritation when 3 loud, sustained, not-perfectly-timed beeps sounded at 5:30 am. I’ve gotten used to it but visitors needs ear plugs to stay here. 2) No replacement parts. I readily admit the 8-pod pump breaking is user error. My first stop was the Mufga site; there I found a replacement parts link that goes back to the Amazon storefront where there are endless arrays of pods and fertilizer but no pump. After much searching, I found a Reddit post that stated the pumps were discontinued 15 years ago. Since I found nothing after several hours of looking I have to assume that’s true. The closest available pump on the open market requires hacking skills I don’t have. So now I have 2 units in operation and one contribution to the device graveyard. When these go I won’t be replacing them with this brand. I will gladly pay more to be able to mute the beeping and replace parts. Probably if the pumps are discontinued, they will eventually run out anyway so the point might be mute. ... show more
