    • Great substitute to the more expensive Surface keyboard.
This keyboard is a great substitute to the Surface keyboard. Very little functional difference between the two. Although the keyboard requires separate charging, this is not an issue since it is very infrequent.

    • Bluetooth, no physical connection to the computer (except magnet)
half price compared to the Microsoft one. it doesn't connect via the computer connection but with Bluetooth. Easy connection and hold well on the screen when closed. cheap but you need to charge it once a week (or more) compared to the OEM one. The only problem is that I use it with a Bluetooth mouse and head phone. I was using a different Bluetooth keyboard before without problem but with that new model, my headphone lag, the computer freeze etc. When I turn off the new keyboard, everything start to work again. Looks and acts like an original Samsung keyboard. Although using Bluetooth instead of direct mechanical connection, it's response is so quick as to be unnoticeable. Cost is way less than original Samsung keyboard.

    • Lower battery life
You will need to keep a charging cable with you, it will run down while you are on the plane. It does not work while you have it plugged in charging. You can put a charge on it in a short period that allows you to keep working, however.

Works great on Surface Pro 9 - mated perfectly in slots - Bluetooth connected immediately and Windows recognized the keyboard by brand and model number - perfect pairing. Backlighting nice and pleasant and useful when using in dim areas - you have a choice of different colors and brightness levels. The touchpad works good as does the keypad - comfortable, accurate, smooth but deliberate feel to the keys. I cannot comment on the battery life, but the battery life is not as much a concern for me with the way I am using it. I love it and am very happy with this purchase. ... show more

This keyboard is flawless with one exception. It mates perfectly with my Surface Pro 9 and has always paired and worked perfectly. The backlighting is very nice, the feel of the keys are very good also, and the battery lasts a long time. The one thing that could use improvement is the sound of the space bar, which gives a good clunk when used. You don't realize how much you use a space bar until it's the loudest sound in the room.
