I bought this tank in store about a month and a half ago (it’s sold at Petco) to upgrade my previous/first betta’s tank. The sealing on the tank is wonderfully done, it even survived a bleach soak and a week in the sun following a brutal wipeout as a result of velvet (nothing to do with the tank, I just didn’t quarantine tank mates). I haven’t experienced any leakage or cracks. The tank itself is beautiful, and the glass is easy to clean. The filter is adjustable, but I found even on the lowest setting it is a bit too strong for my betta, but a filter baffle I purchased that suctions under the output fixed that problem. The filter is silent, just make sure you follow instructions in set up and add water directly into the filter while filling up the tank. It might be a little loud for a few hours upon the first fill, but on water changes since I’ve found that any noise goes away within 20 minutes. The heater that the tank comes with is adjustable, making it extremely user friendly as opposed to preset heaters (especially for those looking to keep tropical fish). It’s the perfect size for my dumbo halfmoon betta, and he’s clearly very happy and healthy. The light attached to the lid is bright enough to keep my plants thriving, and it has a “moonlight” mode (where it’s just blue), which is great for if you want your fish to realize it’s nighttime but you aren’t ready to turn off the light completely. The cords are also nice and long. I strongly recommend this tank. Also, the glass is pretty reflective, so when I first added my betta he glass surfed quite a bit. It eased up within a week though, so don’t panic if your fish is glass surfing at first. ... show more
