I left the original review below so you can see the progression of my thought process. Here’s the update. It’s important to take a closer look before throwing out a frustrating review. They do in fact sell clear lens that fit great. I wish they would have thrown one in for good measure, but oh well. I raised the rating to a 4star from a 2 star. The more I wear this helmet the more I like it. There are a couple reviews that talk about it being to small. And I mostly agree. It seems to not wear as the chart would have you measure. However I went through the inconvenience of wearing it around riding it not and at the break-in point the chart is pretty accurate. They really need to mention that. I am a 71/4 and the medium fits like a glove. I feel super secure in it. I did not go ahead and bump to a 5star out of frustration they cheaped out on us by not including the clear lens. I probably should have thought this one through a little bit better. I really like the helmet and it looks great. Runs a little smaller then actual measurements but not to bad. I don't mind it fitting a little tighter. I guess I'm disappointed more in myself for not buying a helmet with an interchangeable lens. I do 75% of all my riding at night. I don't want to get rid of the smoke lens, I just want to be able to change to a clear for night riding. On me: I should have paid better attention. On them: They could have added a clear lens. Would I recommend this helmet? Yes I would. For the price and comfort even if I buy another one because of the lens I will keep this one. ... show more

Owned an ebike for a fair amount of time and this did an excellent job keeping me safe. Removable face piece is a plus when it gets hot, the visor kept the sun and bugs out of my eyes, 10/10 would recommend.

The helmet is what it is. Its a $100.00 DOT helmet. Its lightweight and comfortable. Its noisy, no other way to put it. It's a nice looking helmet. It would be nice to have a flip down internal sun shade. Looks awsome with the tinted visor, but it's a pain to ride at night. Gotta flip it up, then wear clear eye protection. It came with a clear visor for night riding. I tried the whole, swap out lenses for day and night as needed. The mechanism that holds the lense in place is cheap and not user friendly, so its not as easy as some helmets are to swap lenses. I ride 60 plus miles a day. So I chose to run my tinted visor and wear clear lenses at night and it's just not comfortable. This helmet isn't designed to wear sunglasses while wearing the helmet. It could use some deeper ear pockets for speakers. Until your ears toughen up a little, they will get sore if your running speakers. For me it runs true to size. This helmet is well worth the money. I use it as my primary helmet and plan on buying another ILM helmet. Now here's the positive!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE. It took about 4 months to break this helmet in. Once broke in, it was a little loose. I contacted the company via Amazon customer service. Even though I had the helmet for 4 months, without hesitation, they sent me new cheek pads to help with a better fit. Well, they sent the wrong size. I contacted them again. No argument, no hesitation, they made it right. I've bought numerous items from Amazon. In my opinion, this company has probably the best customer service. Because of that, I am buying another helmet from them!!!! ... show more

The fit is a bit tight around the jaw and ears, both of those being hard plastic areas. You can make some room by removing the padding but that reduces comfort around the back of head. I got the XL size and it was still somewhat tight.

The media could not be loaded. Whelk, this helmet frustrated me at first with its weight. (4lbs) Then as I started to actually use it while riding my electric longboard, I quickly fell in love with its look, it’s functionality and comfort and ease. The flip up and down visor is awesome and the buckle is super easy to quickly remove so you don’t have to struggle with straps. It would be nice if the visor was interchangeable with a clear visor, but you can only have so many wishes answered right? Lol. All in all I highly recommend this helmet. Though if you live in a super warm climate, I’m not sure it would be the best helmet for you. I ended up buying myself a helmet for the summer as well since I live in Arizona.
