This is a good solid helmet. However, it is a full DOT approved helmet. Focusing on safety rather than coolness. This will give that mushroom head look, but it definitely feels so much safer than the light beanie helmets.

I wear a XL motocross helmet, a XL ski helmet. I ordered this one in 2XL cause of the reviews and it was tight. It did not cover my head very well and it was very bulky. I returned it immediately. I liked the design and the tinted lens but it wasn't designed for big heads like mine.
