It does have mushroom head effect but to be honest for the price and the really cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž design I think it is awesome. The inside is pretty comfortable as well but since this is my first helmet I couldn't really speak on that. I didn't need a helmet in Florida but travelling I had to get one. I was a little skeptical when i purchased this item. I do have to say i am not an expert but i do not believe that this item is USA DOT compliant i believe it is UK standards. other than that it is great helmet very comfortable and i love the snap clip to secure the helmet.

I initially left a bad review because I thought the helmet was huge, however, after trying other helmets that claim to be low profile, I realize they really are all like this. Side by side with the Daytona skull cap (claims to be the lowest profile helmet available for $75)I can honestly say there is not much of a difference. It appears to be a well made helmet, I bought this to keep in my saddlebags as a backup in case I get an unexpected rider,, it just wouldn't fit in the bags so I had to return it

The overall quality was good and the fit was spot on (the large fit my size large head perfectly) but I absolutely could not abide the amount of mushroom head it imparted and returnedit after trying it on. This helmet increased the size of my head by a solid 3.5". It flat out looked like I was wearing an enormous mixing bowl on my head. The straps were poorly placed for me as well.
