There are pros and cons for this helmet. Pros: good sun visor and easy deployment, the modular design works well as stood up well to throwing me off the bike. Cons: WIND, wind noises are strong and you will need either extra noise insulation or very good inserts to combat this at higher speeds. A lot of reviews point out the plastic components are fragile, but for this price they hold up well. The visor will also need fog protection coating applied as it is EXTREMELY prone to fog up in the rain or winter. This helmet literally saved my life on Friday so I’ll bump it from 3 to 4 stars.     • Felt really cheap at first
While it felt pretty cheap, I had to remember that it was in fact pretty cheap. After using more it fits better. I really like the quick disconnect clasp. The internal visor is a bit hard to flip up/down but may ease up with use and if not, it is not all that difficult just would like it easier. Visibility is good. Noise level not terrible and in line with other helmets I have used. Perhaps just depends on if you plan to crash. If so, by all means spend the money on the wiz-bang, high-dollar helmet. If you just want something to keep the bugs and rocks at bay that may provide some protection in a crash then this helmet should fit your need. ... show more

    • If you're on a tight budget, BUY this Helmet. Very Decent Value for the money.
I bought this to replace an older Modular helmet, also a medium. One of the reasons for replacing it, is it seemed to always squeeze my head at the cheekbones. THIS replacement helmet is definiteyly either larger or has a different shape, so much so tht it required me to cinch the chin strap to almost the TIGHEST setting. Once adjusted the helmet was much more comfortable than my older MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE helmet. The finish is very nice, with the shield operation very easily operated via one hand. Having a sun visor / Shield built in with a external lever operation vs others where you must actually Touch the sun visor to pull it down was a nice touch. LOVE that. The field of vision is very wide with the face shield being so clear, I kept thinking that I'd forgotten to lower the face shield when riding. What I would really LIKE to see if someone posting the performance in a crash. Of course, having a helmet on at all is 100 percent more protection than not. ... show more

I have used this helmet for the last year. I have dropped it a few times and usually leave it on my bike while shopping. It is very easy to use and I like leaving my glasses on when putting on a helmet. Yesterday, the the front visor unit would not stay up so I popped off the plastic screw covers and tightened the screws that hold it up. Probably will last another year but if not, i will add some Loctite. I think that was the biggest complaint here on amazon. ... show more

Chin strap is great, adjust it once and has a quick release for after. Love the dual flip front with included sunshade inside. No need to mess around with sunglasses inside your helmet.     • Small rattle/wind noise
I am a beginner rider, so I haven't taken this thing to highway speeds, or anywhere close. But around 20-30mph there is a whistle noise that literally sounds like a little girl screaming to the left, this was super distracting to begin with, will try messing with the vents and seeing if that changes anything. Next point is that there is a vibrating/tapping noise that starts at that same speed range. Other than that, it hasn't fallen apart yet, and the price is cheap. I like the helmet in general it has a sleek design. However did not come with accessories supposed to be included and had a good sized deep scratch right in front being very noticeable to be sporting a NEW helmet.
