I am pumped about this helmet, just got back from a 200 mile ride through the Hill Country and decided to review this purchase while it was fresh on my mind. This is my first Modular Helmet that I have owned, so my review will be based on this experience only. I done a ton of research before buying this product. I knew I wanted a Modular helmet, I've always been partial to half helmets or no helmet at all, but with further rides, living closer to the city, and riding in the Hill Country, I wanted more protection as well as bluetooth for GPS purposes. I will definitely buy another helmet for my wife and kids to wear when we ride 2 up !!! Sizing - I wear a 7 1/4 Fitted Cap, Measurement of head is 22 3/4 inches. By the Helmet sizing guideline provided online, I should have went with a Large, but after reading other reviews I decided to go with the XL, and I am glad I did. The Helmet fits perfect, not so tight that I am uncomfortable, but snug enough to feel secure and safe. The very top of the helmet does not have a lot of cushioning and you can feel it Looks and user friendliness. - I went with Matte Black, looks great no scratches. the bluetooth and sun shades switch is easily found with gloves on and moves smoothly. The tabs for ventilation are a little more difficult to locate with gloves on, and I could tell no difference in circulation closed or open (might make it a hot helmet during the summer) The quick release works great and is easy to unfasten the helmet. Visors - both visors come with a protective cover and were spotless, no scratches. The flip down sun shades are not very dark, and they will fog up if you breath heavy upwards, but that is expected. THe fog went away very fast with flipping up the outside shade a notch. My sun shade slides down effortlessly and goes all the way back inside the helmet when I don't need it any longer. Bluetooth - As stated in other reviews the speakers do not have much bass, but as far as clarity and loudness, I found that I had no problem hearing music or GPS running 75 MPH, and I didn't have the volume all the way up. I had my wife call me to try out the mic. I could hear her great, but she said I sounded muffled, but she said she could hear me and understood everything I said. (only going 35 mph, did not test it going faster) Weight - I don't have any complaints on the weight, it did not distract me while riding. It is heavier than what I am used to, but overall I expected expected the weight with a full face/modular helmet. Noise - I am actually impressed with the amount of wind noise. I couldn't believe how quiet this helmet was at 75mph today. No problems if I looked either direction, or up and down, it was quiet. Granted, I am accustomed to nothing over my ears when I ride, so I couldn't believe the peace I had while riding today. Cons - The two outside tabs that attach the wind protector to your helmet under your chin do not stay attached. when you pull the modular jaw down you will have to re-insert these two tabs. Not a big issue, but it is something that I will have to deal with everytime I wear this helmet. The charging port for the Bluetooth battery cover is very flimsy, the rubber stob that it used to pull it open ripped off on the very first attempt.

Super nice helmet for the money!! - Good Airflow - Bit noisy on the Highway but can hear music perfectly - Bluetooth works well and is easy to use - Speakers are very clear even at high speeds - Modular Face rises high enough to be comfortable - Visor works well but is a little warped and isn't clear as the clear visor - Can Fog up is climate is hot and sitting at a light - Microphone sound is hard for others to understand what you are saying. Hearing is good, talking is poor. My Forehead measurement is about 22 1/2 - 23" around. The helmet does fit tight but you don't feel it when your riding. The tightness does help to hear the speakers very well and not shift around when going fast. I've taken it 90 mph and felt very aerodynamic. Speakers at that speed were still clear. I also have the sound of the Harley Davidson motor working against me. Totally worth the money!!

This helmet is awesome! My first helmet was a harley brand modular with a flat black finish that eventually became sticky and I just couldn't accept it anymore. My second helmet was a HAWK bluetooth helmet because I thought it would be nice to listen to music or even maybe make low-speed phone calls or accept calls at least while on the bike - nope, that didn't work. The HAWK was junk. The visor hinge broke in the first couple days, the helmet was very loud (wind noise) so I couldn't even hear music at moderate interstate speeds, and phone calls couldn't be heard and couldn't understand me above 25mph. This helmet feels like great quality, strong hinges, loud speakers, quiet when riding on the interstate, and I didn't even know or see that it has FM RADIO built in...wasn't I surprised this morning on my first ride with it and paired my phone and before I did much, a local radio station starts playing...even better!! Yes, I love it, I want another one for my wife when I start taking her on more rides. Comfortable, quiet, and awesome functions.

I was really excited about this helmet after reading the great reviews. I received it yesterday and immediately went our for a ride. The helmet fit perfectly and the Music playback and phone call features worked great. I was very happy. That is, until I left the store to go home. I lowered the faceplate and heard a snap. The left side of the plate is hanging off the helmet. When I get home I try to see what it was, maybe just a clip. No, it was the bolt holing the left side of the plate to the helmet. The head of the bolt simply snapped off from normal use of less than 4 hours.

Overall, after reviewing many of the available options, I chose this helmet for the safety ratings, accessories, and the price. It is DOT rated, so no worries there. Additionally, it has an integrated/internal sunglasses feature which eliminates the need for you to wear your own. The break-away feature is EXTREMELY convenient, and works fine. The quick-disconnect buckle is also a welcomed addition. The all-star of the helmet is the communication/music/phone system. It works great, and I can hear music/phone calls until the wind gets loud - around 50-60mph. For putting around its just fine! Additionally, I realized I needed a larger padding for a snugger fit. I contacted customer service, and they were amazing, and fast! They're currently shipping out a larger pad, free of charge. Overall, I've had it for a week, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
