  • Outstanding Helmet – Comfort, Convenience, and Value
Size: Large Color: Pro Matte Black
I am extremely impressed with the ILM Bluetooth Integrated Modular Flip-Up Full Face Motorcycle Helmet. From the moment I put it on, the helmet felt solid, comfortable, and well-designed. The padding is plush without being overly tight, and it fits securely even on longer rides. The integrated Bluetooth system is a standout feature. Pairing was quick and seamless, audio quality is clear for both music and calls, and the controls are easy to operate even while wearing gloves. It’s a huge convenience not having to install a separate Bluetooth unit. The flip-up modular design is perfect for everyday riding, especially at stops or when talking without removing the helmet. The built-in sun shield is another excellent feature—smooth to deploy, effective against glare, and eliminates the need for sunglasses. Ventilation is well thought out, keeping airflow steady without excessive noise. For a helmet at this price point, the build quality, safety features, and technology integration exceed expectations. Overall, this helmet delivers comfort, functionality, and excellent value. I would highly recommend the ILM Bluetooth Modular Helmet to any rider looking for a reliable, feature-rich helmet without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • Excellent helmet, really really vague instructions
The helmet fit, connectivity, and comfort are all excellent. My main gripes are the vents for the chin are too small and the instructions included are so so bad. The vent issue keeps the helmet visor fogging up until I crack open the visor. This could be fixed in future versions of the helmet. The instructions on pairing the helmet for the intercom system are horrible and written in a font so small that mice squint to read them. The instructions do not say that the helmets will lose connection with each other once the helmet is turned off, requiring repairing and clearing the previous intercom pairing. That said, the FM radio is good. Voice commands from Google assistant and Alexa work when set up. The phone controls for music are also good, however I have to control volume for that function on my phone. The helmet causes the music to skip to the next song or repeat the last song played. Phone conversations are loud enough to be heard even with earplugs and the quality is acceptable. Overall, I like this helmet for the price. My Sena helmets are awesome too, but cost twice as much for what I feel is the same featured helmet. Solid buy. ... show more

  • Excellent value
Size: Large Color: Matte Black
I’ve use the helmet on two rides so far both 100+ miles (closer to 300 miles total). I have listed the pros and cons I have noticed so far. The Pros - The Bluetooth works great with my iPhone. - I use earplugs and I can still hear what I am playing. - The sun visor is easy to use and works well. - The battery is holding up well. ( I am going to do some shorter rides during the week and will try to test battery life). The Cons - Not so much, for some. I have an oval head and the helmet is pretty tight front to back, and a bit loose side to side. You either have to live with the right fit, buy a bigger size (I went with the recommended size per my head measurement. L). These helmets were designed for round heads (I believe like Shoei helmets). I fit better in an Aria, as they are designed more for oval heads. - I noticed some occasional connection issues, not very bad. For the money this is an excellent helmet, and I have paid four times as much for a top tiered Bluetooth helmet, that was only good as a helmet (nothing but connection issues and extremely poor audio if/when you could get it connected). I haven’t tried to communicate with others yet, just so you know. ... show more

  • and I am glad I did
Size: X-Large Color: Matte Black
I am pumped about this helmet, just got back from a 200 mile ride through the Hill Country and decided to review this purchase while it was fresh on my mind. This is my first Modular Helmet that I have owned, so my review will be based on this experience only. I done a ton of research before buying this product. I knew I wanted a Modular helmet, I've always been partial to half helmets or no helmet at all, but with further rides, living closer to the city, and riding in the Hill Country, I wanted more protection as well as bluetooth for GPS purposes. I will definitely buy another helmet for my wife and kids to wear when we ride 2 up !!! Sizing - I wear a 7 1/4 Fitted Cap, Measurement of head is 22 3/4 inches. By the Helmet sizing guideline provided online, I should have went with a Large, but after reading other reviews I decided to go with the XL, and I am glad I did. The Helmet fits perfect, not so tight that I am uncomfortable, but snug enough to feel secure and safe. The very top of the helmet does not have a lot of cushioning and you can feel it Looks and user friendliness. - I went with Matte Black, looks great no scratches. the bluetooth and sun shades switch is easily found with gloves on and moves smoothly. The tabs for ventilation are a little more difficult to locate with gloves on, and I could tell no difference in circulation closed or open (might make it a hot helmet during the summer) The quick release works great and is easy to unfasten the helmet. Visors - both visors come with a protective cover and were spotless, no scratches. The flip down sun shades are not very dark, and they will fog up if you breath heavy upwards, but that is expected. THe fog went away very fast with flipping up the outside shade a notch. My sun shade slides down effortlessly and goes all the way back inside the helmet when I don't need it any longer. Bluetooth - As stated in other reviews the speakers do not have much bass, but as far as clarity and loudness, I found that I had no problem hearing music or GPS running 75 MPH, and I didn't have the volume all the way up. I had my wife call me to try out the mic. I could hear her great, but she said I sounded muffled, but she said she could hear me and understood everything I said. (only going 35 mph, did not test it going faster) Weight - I don't have any complaints on the weight, it did not distract me while riding. It is heavier than what I am used to, but overall I expected expected the weight with a full face/modular helmet. Noise - I am actually impressed with the amount of wind noise. I couldn't believe how quiet this helmet was at 75mph today. No problems if I looked either direction, or up and down, it was quiet. Granted, I am accustomed to nothing over my ears when I ride, so I couldn't believe the peace I had while riding today. Cons - The two outside tabs that attach the wind protector to your helmet under your chin do not stay attached. when you pull the modular jaw down you will have to re-insert these two tabs. Not a big issue, but it is something that I will have to deal with everytime I wear this helmet. The charging port for the Bluetooth battery cover is very flimsy, the rubber stob that it used to pull it open ripped off on the very first attempt. ... show more

  • Good helmet. Okay audio
Size: Large Color: Pro Matte Black
Good helmet but the size feels a little small. Bought the one that matches my hat size and the integrated shades hit my nose just a bit. I'll probably end up trimming the bridge to open it up a little for some better clearance. Can hear pretty well but not a lot of wind noise which is great. As far as helmets are concerned, this one seems pretty good. Bluetooth works pretty well and is fairly straightforward. Voice for feedback telling you which mode the helmet is in etc is the same cheap voice in some other chinese products I've bought. Audio quality is not great. Listen to music while riding and there is no low end to the audio range. Speakers are apparently incapable of bass in any form. Volume controls are reversed from what I would instinctively assume they are, casing some confusion if you aren't conscious of it. With the helmet on, intuitively you would turn the knob forward (counter-clockwise) to turn up the volume and to your rear (clockwise) to turn it down, but this is reversed. Will be taking a road trip with it soon so I will update this review when I get back. Initial thoughts are buy something else with better audio quality. The worst earbuds I own have better audio than this helmet and it isn't even close. Either buy something with better audio or a plain helmet without it. ... show more

  • Intercom speaker
Size: Medium Color: Pro Matte Black
Love the helmet, but it’s just a year old and my right speaker isn’t working properly. Can it be under warranty to repair it

  • Intercom is Terrible
Do not buy this helmet. It will only cause you headaches. If you did buy this helmet, you need to be aware of these steps for intercom. The website or manual will not tell you this. Intercom Guide for Two Helmets 1. put the two helmets side by side. Hold down the button for 10s until the lights flash red and blue. 2. after they are both flashing red and blue hold down the button of one helmet and turn the dial clockwise until the voice says that they are connected. (Optional 3.) If the press and turn of step two doesn't immediately work, press and turn counter clockwise to enter compatibility mode. Once it's announced the mode verbally, immediately press and turn clockwise as stated in step 2. My helmet connects with the other almost immediately after that. If you bought this for the 2+ functionality, god be with you. ... show more

  • ⭐️ “Budget Helmet… Premium Surprise.” ⭐️ ⭐️ “Budget Helmet… Premium Surprise.” ⭐️
Honestly shocked at how good this ILM/FreedConn Bluetooth helmet setup has been. I upgraded mine to the newer Bluetooth 5.0 module and paired it with my CHIGEE AIO-5 Play on my BMW GS. Music, Siri, navigation, calls, and intercom all work seamlessly. What surprised me most? Comfort. I own a Shoei Neotec with the integrated Sena system, and quite frankly this helmet is MORE comfortable for me, especially for casual touring and longer rides. The Bluetooth audio quality and functionality have been excellent for the money. For anyone looking for an affordable touring setup without spending crazy money on premium comm systems, this has honestly exceeded my expectations. The combination of: * Bluetooth 5.0 * helmet-to-helmet intercom * GPS/music integration * and CHIGEE CarPlay completely modernized my 2014 BMW R1200GS. Very impressed. 👍🏍️ ... show more
