Although this is typically an Ikea product I purchased mine through Amazon as it was less expensive in both price and shipping. The chair is a beautiful and comfortable design with just enough give in it so you can rock a little. I also like that the pads can be changed to different designs and colors and that they are washable. The ottoman is also a nice design but in my opinion is about 8" too wide and creates a larger than needed footprint in smaller rooms. I did not find any misaligned holes during assembly but the instructions reminded me why I don't buy Ikea products as they have no instruction except diagrams. There are three different types of screws used in this and it is very difficult to differentiate between the two smaller screws by the diagram as the instructions give no sizes. Although the instructions are sparse I had it together in a reasonable amount of time and have been using it as a reading chair in my living room.

We bought one of these chairs from IKEA decades ago and still use it. The wood on that chair was a beautiful rich color, polished-looking and very pretty. As someone else noted here, the wood on this chair from Amazon isn't as shown in the photo (which is more like what our original chair looks like). The wood on this chair is a dark brown, kind of dull, cheap-looking stain. Not nearly as nice as the original or what's shown in the photograph that accompanies the listing. Other than that, the chair is fine.

I had one of these sets ya-EERS ago and I always remembered how it fit me, my budget, and my preferred resting posture perfectly. Still does. They are ubiquitous and people who live near an IKEA are probably tired of looking at them, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Poang ends up on a Best Furniture Designs of the 20th Century list in 50 years or so. Sometimes you need a little distance to see something clearly, so don't troll me.

I bought this chair and ottoman, not cheap, to match another one I had. The wood looks identical in this picture. The pieces I received were not the reddish brown shown, but a very dark brown (almost black) oak. I wish I had sent it back for a refund.

What a great product by Ikea. Both items arrived swiftly and in flawless condition. This is fantastic option for gamers that don't want to drop a lot on a recliner. I cannot believe how comfortable the chair is even after long periods of vegetating after work. Just buy it. It is very much worth the cost and relatively short time to build it.

Absolutely love this comfy chair! Easy for me to put together. So happy to find I could order it here on AMAZON since there is no IKEA store near me. Called when I found one small, but essential bolt cover was missing, and received a replacement in 2 days!!!!!!

Love this chair - Looks great, is super comfortable, and a great deal at this price. My roommate back in college had a more basic version of this chair, and it survived 4 years of abuse there. This version is nicer looking, and has the same durability Every time people come over, this chair is the first to get filled. Its has a small footprint, but comfortable fits people of all sizes. The ottoman is great for the person sitting in the chair, or for doubling as a bench/stool if you're short on seats.
