Perfect for my cubicle!
I recently moved into a new office cubicle that unfortunately has a super bright overhead light. I researched online and could only find cube shields that mounted to the corner of cube walls. But since this light is directly overhead, that type of shield would do me no good. Then I stumbled on this beauty. Its well made, sturdy, and big enough to overhang my workspace creating a nice diffused light. No more computer glare! Putting it together was super simple, but mounting it to my cube wall was a bit of a challenge. It took a little ingenuity (and some binder clips and wire cubicle pins) to get it in place. I first found this item on the Ikea website for around $15 bucks, but they were also asking $15 for shipping. I bought it using my Amazon prime and received it in two days! Going through Amazon was the better deal for sure.

Perfect
I didn't buy this for a room, but for my cubicle at work. The lights shine directly into my eyes and it's been giving me headaches. Other employees have shades over their desks, so I started my search. I found that this is even better than what most others use. Everyone else has a blade shade and it makes their cubicle really dark. I don't mind the dark, but I do need to be able to see what I'm doing. Not on the computer, but for other aspects of my job. This leaf shade sits right on top, blocks the light perfectly, but still allows some light in. It's exactly what I needed.

Works as intended
Works great to minimize those bright office lights. It is rough not having natural sunlight in the office but this will at-least give a temporary relief.

Nice, but might get banned from your workplace
Was a nice, cute way to block overhead lighting from my desk at work. That is, until the fire marshall did an inspection and declared these "unsafe" because they aren't fire retardant.

Great item to add some fun to a cubicle environment!
My cubicle is right under a very bright light. Working on a computer all day, it was starting to strain my eyes. I had seen it at IKEA before in the kids section, and had seen them in cubicles in other areas (more for decoration). I ordered it with the sole purpose of blocking the light. After looking around at cubie tents and the possibility of putting up an umbrella (bad luck - eeek) - I decided to give this a try. The price was right - and it is festive. Being from IKEA, it was compact (so easy to bring into work) and it was easy to put together. It is the perfect size to block the light above. The mount that it came with did not work with my cubicle walls (since it is supposed to screw into the wall) - so I had to be a bit creative to put it up. I ended up sliding it down between the cubicle wall and my dry erase board, which seems sturdy enough for now! Not only does it do the trick, but it is also a bit of a conversation starter. It also makes my cubicle easy to find (not sure if that is always a good thing - LOL :-)).

Good for work cubicles with fluorescent glare
I bought this for my cubicle at work. The lights pain my eyes from above and when reflecting off the desk. This completely solved the problem. I've had it up for about a year and, to this very day, I still have people commenting on it and asking where I got it. A few other people at work have followed my lead. My cubicle has little holes in the joints so I was able to use twist-ties to secure it. I've seen photos online and people have found various ways to fasten it to their cubicles, so, do a search for a solution that works for you. You can get it for $15 from Ikea, FYI. Last time I was there, they had a bunch all over the store.
