Ok I didn’t expect too much from a 20 part. First is made from aluminum so has some heft to the main knob. You do need to remove the oem center cap then just slide this over and remove liner and attach the top piece then the thin plastic cover. From drivers seat this unit looks good and feels good. If you look closely the machining quality is not the best. And if they can make the top main cover little thicker and nicer I would pay extra 5-10 bucks for it. So overall is a 4, just don’t expect too much for a 20 part. It does feel better like my bmw e30 knob. ... show more

Don't put this garbage on your BMW! This is absolute nonsense, I put this on my BMW, and threw away the original button! I truly regret it! This thing is absolute garbage don't buy this!!!

Got this bad boy for our 2011 BMW X5 E70 35d. I had to spray a small amount of silicon lubricant in order to allow the rubber interior of the larger dial to slide over the smaller knobs rubber grip. Without the lube the larger dial would stop a 1/4 + short of fully seating down allowing the top of the smaller dial to stick out the top enough so the top cover can fit properly. Cool little deal.
