  • Built like an Igloo “hummer”
Style: 70 QT Color: Olive Green
This cooler is perfect for the beach or camping. Great capacity but be warned the great access, durability and rugged wheels come with a price……it’s very heavy. Add ice and a week of food and it is going to need a lot of push or pull. Luckily the extending bar makes the chore easy to manage. This is the perfect excursion cooler but don’t be caught surprised by the weight. It’s part of its quality ... show more

  • Gigantic but amazing!
Style: 70 QT Color: Olive Green
This cooler is absolutely amazing! It’s extremely durable and is able to traverse any terrain. It has a great ice retention and is able to hold A LOT of drinks! A couple things I noticed that should be mentioned: Pros: -Left cold cuts in the dry storage basket all weekend and they stayed cold and fresh the entire time. - Tons of storage space for drinks/food (Put 96 cans in there and they stayed cold all weekend) -The telescopic handle makes it extremely easy to drag this monstrosity over grass, curbs and rocks. ( I have yet to try at the beach) -Lots of compliments from people LOL Cons: - It’s not advertised how BIG this cooler really is. I would not recommend buying this if you don’t have an SUV, Truck or live in a small apartment. I have a Mazda 6 (Sedan) and it almost takes up the whole backseat! -Very hard to load into and out of the car while full! -The ice DOES NOT last 4 days. I took this behemoth camping over the weekend, put 40 lbs of ice around 4pm on Friday, by Saturday morning it was almost all water. Granted, the lid was left slightly open overnight, but everything was still chilled. On Saturday morning I added 20 more lbs of ice and made sure the lid was closed tightly and the ice lasted until late Sunday night! (Important note: it was left in the shade in roughly 80-90 degree heat all weekend!) -To add on to my last point, a cooler of this size should definitely have some kind of locking mechanism to ensure the lid is tightly closed! (like Yeti and BruTank have) -Should definitely have a small handle on the other side to make lifting easier! Overall it is a great investment for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, especially if you have a lot of friends/family!! ... show more

  • A solid cooler for the beach or campground.
As a reference point for this review I’ve owned the cooler for a little over a month and have used it on weekend trips in Vermont, Rhode Island, and a weeklong camping trip in Maine in July/August. Conditions were as expected in the summer in this area with daytime temps ranging from the mid-70s to the low-90s and varying degrees of sun and clouds. Pros: The telescoping handle provides plenty of room and leverage to drag the loaded cooler through rough terrain and is easier to pull through sand than a cooler with standard size wheels. I did not experience any defects with the handle as other reviewers have. The handle feels sturdy and leaves enough room so the cooler isn’t smacking you in the heels as you tow it. I dragged this cooler a few thousand feet over a rocky dirt campground road then across the beach several times on our camping trip and was pleased. There is also a butler tray that can be detached and placed on the outstretched handle which has two cup holders so you can open the cooler without moving your drinks. There is a removable dry box located beneath the handle that I’ve used to fit two phones, my wallet, and a set of keys. The lid closes and snaps tightly around a rubber seal very cleanly. I accidentally left the cooler out in a thunderstorm with valuables inside and experienced no leakage. The manual claims the box is lockable with a padlock by using the two plastic loops that meet when snapped shut. This seems like a joke considering you can just remove the whole box. You can keep sandwiches dry using the dry tray that sits just above the ice in the cooler which can slide laterally across the cooler. While not really impressive technology it is a very useful feature. This dry storage comes at a price and reduces your capacity to carry beverages quite a bit. There are tie down points along the sides of the cooler and two loops in the front for carrying gear on top of the lid using bungee cords. A shorter bungee doesn’t work well, I used a longer very stretchy bungee to secure two zero gravity chairs. It really made traveling to and on the beach easy. It took a few tries to figure out the right bungee and pattern to use to secure the big chairs but ultimately it worked well. Bottle openers on both sides. Cons: There is no handle on the side of the cooler opposite the telescoping handle. Instead, there’s a lip that you can use to lift the cooler into the back of an SUV or tailgate but this is difficult and annoying when the cooler is full. This also makes it harder to carry up and down steps. I should point out this cooler is very tall so check the dimensions and make sure it fits in your vehicle. I was not impressed with the ice retention. I can’t imagine getting four days in anything but the most ideal conditions and never lifting the lid. Since this isn’t very practical plan on getting two and a half days tops which is okay but at a $300 price point I was hoping for better performance. The lid feels solid but would benefit from some type of a rubber seal to improve ice retention. The lid opens left/right and is prevented from extending past 90 degrees by a thin gauge wire attached at the lid and body of the cooler inside. This strikes me as cheap and overlooked… more of something I would expect on a $60 cooler. I notice the wire almost always bunches up into a “U” shape visible outside the cooler when the lid is closed. I can’t imagine that is helping ice retention. I wish I could speak to the durability but will update in time. My initial thoughts are there's a lot of plastic which could break. The handle is stainless steel and feels solid. I've noticed some wear inside the cooler most likely from cans sloshing around but I suppose that is normal. The wheels are rugged but the axle doesn't seem to match that ruggedness considering its meant for rougher terrain and the wheels hit the ground hard when the cooler is loaded. I would rate this cooler higher if the issues above were addressed or if the price was closer to $200 in its current state. There are some nice unique features but ultimately it amounts to added plastic so where does the price come from? Overall I really like how easy it makes hauling the cooler longer distances or over sand /rocky terrain. Since we like to camp and go to the beach I would likely purchase again for the convenience. ... show more

  • This thing is a tank!
Style: 70 QT Color: Olive Green
I get so many compliments on this beast anytime I show up to the bbq, it can handle pretty much any type of terrain and it keeps stuff cold for days! OD green is why I got it, clearly it looks killer and that is really all that matters. Has held up well to some beating and the scratches along the way add to it's realness. 10/10 stuff dreams are made of. ... show more
