Great cooler

  • Great interior volume, but some sacrifices were made
Style: 62QT
For comparison, I uploaded pictures of an Igloo "Maxcold Island Breeze" cooler that I bought many years ago and pictures of this Igloo "Maxcold Latitude" cooler for sale here. What's really mind-blowing about comparing these coolers is that the Island Breeze cooler is physically much larger on the outside, but actually has less interior volume! It's a 50 quart cooler, whereas this Latitude cooler holds 62 quarts. When I compare the two coolers to figure out how the Latitude is smaller on the outside but bigger on the inside, there are only a few obvious differences. First, the walls of the Latitude are thinner. Nonetheless, both coolers claim to keep their contents cold for 5 days, so perhaps insulation technology has just gotten better? Second, the Island Breeze cooler has a larger (wider, sturdier) telescoping handle vs. the smaller and slightly less sturdy telescoping handle on the Latitude. Just looking at these two coolers side-by-side, you would probably conclude that the Latitude is a "better" cooler because it takes up less space in your car, but holds more stuff on the inside. However, that depends on how much emphasis you put on the long term durability of a cooler. Igloo coolers have never been on par with super expensive alternatives like YETI, but they're also not priced as high. The Latitude seems like an affordable way to get significant storage for people who only use their cooler a couple times per year. I know many people only get 1-3 weekends of camping during the year, and for those people, the Latitude is probably a great value. From a practical perspective, it just depends on how long that telescoping handle can last. If you're only wheeling it on flat surfaces and in relatively straight lines, then maybe it will be good for years and years. If you're prone to be rough on your coolers, then maybe not. It just comes down to whether you want to pay extra for tougher, more durable build quality. ... show more

  • High Quality Cooler!
Style: 62QT
I recently purchased the Igloo Maxcold Latitude 62qt Roller Cooler, and it has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor adventures! This cooler is spacious enough to hold everything I need for a full day at the beach, camping, or a picnic with friends and family. The wheels make transportation a breeze, even when it’s loaded with ice and drinks. I love the sturdy handle that allows for easy pulling, and the overall build quality feels very durable. The insulation works remarkably well, keeping my items cold for hours, which is exactly what you want in a cooler. Another great feature is the design; it has ample space for storage and the lid doubles as extra seating, which is super convenient. It's perfect for gatherings and adds to the overall enjoyment of outdoor activities. Overall, I give the Igloo Maxcold Latitude 62qt Roller Cooler a full five stars! If you're in the market for a reliable, spacious, and easy-to-transport cooler, I highly recommend this one. It's truly a game-changer for all your outdoor needs! ... show more

It worked well the first usage. The wheels fell off on the second time unfortunately.

  • A great travel cooler!
Style: 62QT
I recently got this Igloo cooler, and overall, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a great size and holds a ton of drinks and food, which is perfect for camping or road trips. We are a baseball family, so this cooler goes with us to all of our summer games. The taller interior makes it easy to fit things like water jugs or soda bottles without any issues. The wheels are super convenient for moving it around, especially when it’s full, but the telescoping handle could be sturdier. It feels a little flimsy, so I’m careful when I use it. It is also finicky when collapsing it down. I love how compact it is for the amount it holds—it fits perfectly in my car’s backseat without taking up too much space. The cup holders on the lid are a nice bonus, especially when you’re camping or hanging out at the beach. The drain plug is another plus, making it easier to deal with melted ice. If Igloo improved the handle, it’d be close to perfect. For anyone who needs a reliable cooler for a few trips a year, this one gets the job done! We have an older igloo cooler and it is very similar in style to that one, which has also held up over the years! ... show more
