Very high quality. At first I thought the price was high on these hinges based on prices for cheap ones at Home Depot. These are anything BUT cheap in their execution and quality, actually very well priced. My second set of plastic hinges had broken on one side of my 10 year old Igloo cooler and after long deliberations I decided to go with the stainless steel replacements. Install was easy because they are the OEM product and a perfect fit. I knew immediately that these are built to last by the tight quality of the hinge and by the clean finish. No jagged edges or rough face at all. I love my 48 qt Igloo cooler because it can float on its own even with two cases of beer and ice for a full day of tubing down river. Those fancy pants Yeti guys aren't so cool when they see their cooler needs it own boat. They came in a two pack but I only put one on the cooler so far and have nothing but praise for it thus far. ... show more

These stainless steel hinges were purchased before the plastic original hinges failed, in that the entire cooler ( Maxcool wheeled Cooler ) had been subjected to very rough usage for 5 years, and their replacement time was overdue. Several weeks after their acquisition, the plastic hinges failed, and these were quickly fitted in their stead. It was noted that they are well made and thicker than anticipated, which bodes well for their durability and longevity. In addition, they will add to the ease of use and overall strenth of the cooler itself, thereby extending its life and overall pleasure of use. Though these stainless steel hinges could be added at the factory as standard equipement, their additional cost may by a negative factor for both the manufacturer and consumer, as the casual user may not need them to the same level as a more intense enthusiast, who would probably upgarde the hardware in any case to match their activity level. These hinges, along with the hybrid or stainless latch(s) will produce a cooler of a considerably high level than average, both in construction and price. That choice can be left for the individual to be made, based on both activity level and finances. As it stands, the improvements they provide along with their construction easily rate a ' 10 ', or 5 solid stars, IMHO. ... show more

I love my old Igloo ice chest. The only weak points are the hinges. With the new stainless steel replacement hinges, that problem is a thing of the past. I wish I would have found these years ago. It would have saved my some money on the standard plastic replacement hinges
