This did a better job covering my gray than any other semi-permanent hair color, mask or gloss. My next best favorite is DP Hue, but IGK mask in Brown Bella matches my natural hair color and is very natural looking. With DP Hue, dark brown is too blue and medium brown is too golden. I add a dash of baking soda to the mask, then apply to dry hair, and put on a foil lined heat trapping cap to make the color penetrate my gray hair better. Then I shampoo, rinse with water and a touch of vinegar, then condition. It still takes more than one application to make my white roots dark brown, but it eventually does completely cover my nearly 100% gray areas. I like that I can just apply to certain spots, and that it doesn't have peroxide or ammonia. My hair is super-soft and bouncy after I use it. Edit to add: The IGK just didn't last long enough. I like the color brown, but wish it was a bit warmer. DP Hue's medium is too warm and their dark brown is too blue. Larely I mix DP Hue medium brown and IGK Brown Bella in my palm and apply with my gloved fingers to my dry roots. Thenn I put on a iinsulated shower cap for 30 minutes. Then I shampoo with Plantur Browns shampoo. I no longer add bakiing soda. I do that every 10 days or every 3rd to 4th shampoo and it works well for me. My hair is very healthy. Some gray is visible, but I am 100% gray in some areas and I am a senior, so I don't mind some gray, I just can't deal with my naturally white hair.

Does exactly what it promises. Deposited the right amount of color, without making a mess (due to ease of application + color did not stain shower). Left my hair super soft and glossy. Did not cover grays for me, as I saw some reviews where that was mentioned. Has a nice smell unlike the unbearable smell from salon toner/gloss; it saved me time and money and actually left my hair in way better condition compared to when I go get a gloss from the salon. This color mask is super hydrating!

Massively disappointed in this product! I’m transitioning from platinum to a rich brown (which is the color indicated for the Bella Brown) and that it is not. I started with a copper and neon pink base and after applying this product I noticed the wash out was VERY green. Like swamp+mud green. Hoped it was just the wash out but after blow drying my hair I noticed, nope it definitely has green hues in it. I should have taken an initial photo. The one posted is after a neon pink color deposit. It toned the green down but it’s still there. I’ve used Wella Charm in about the same brunette color and didn’t have this issue but kinda liked the idea of the apply and wash process. I applied the Bella Brown to my roots with a dye brush and saturated my entire head and allowed it to process for 20 minutes. Even my hair color that was natural brown (not bleached blonde) has a greenish hue to it now and not one strand of my hair, previously blonde or natural brunette is this rich brown at all. 10/10 would not recommend

I had highlights about a year ago, hated them, boxed dyed my hair two weeks later to my roots color and no color since then. I wanted to bring shine and even out the gradient from my roots to my ends - the lengths and ends have faded to this chestnutish brown and my roots are a lot cooler. Also grays. Their annoying. First photo - pre application Second photo - post application Third photo - what my hair looks like down/styled just for your reference Fourth photo - post application I applied it on dry hair, starting with my lengths and ends, roots last. Left it on for about 20 minutes (5 mins over recommended time but I was also coloring my eyebrows 😅). Rinsed out with cool water until it ran clear and then applied conditioner. I’m really happy with the results. I was looking for the dullness to be improved and it’s definitely got some shine to it. Feels incredibly soft. Color is a rich chocolate brown and I think the previous chestnutish color gives it some additional dimension. We’ll see how it holds up! I also purchased the John Frieda Brunette Gloss to rotate it with since I did use roughly half the bottle.

Very satisfied, would use again. I had a recent balayage highlight from the salon - same stylist for years, but this time it was just too drastic of a contrast for me. Felt like I had zebra stripes. Of course I should have just said so while there, but I thought it might grow on me. After a week, I was still hating how it looked and how it felt. My hair felt like straw. So I ordered this is dark ash blond. I applied it to dry hair and left it on for about 15-20 mins. It’s not a drastic change, but just subtly toned down the too bright highlights to a softer blend. Also, my hair feels SO much softer which was an added bonus. Very happy with purchase.
